We are seeking a talented Business Development Manager with a minimum of three years’ experience, ideally gained within the construction industry to undertake;

• Identifying new business opportunities including researching and identifying potential markets, clients and partnerships for CEM.
• Building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, partners and industry contacts to establish and nurture relationship that can lead to business opportunities.
• Establishing and updating Client Relationship Management process to better understand clients’ need, build stronger relationship, and increase client database including coordinating interaction with clients/potential clients, updating customer data, tracking interactions and automating CEM services.
• Developing growth strategies by working closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies for expanding CEM business through new market or services.
• Market research analysis: Conducting market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities is crucial for making informed business decisions and staying competitive.
• Maintaining and updating CEM marketing material and collaborate with marketing SJ group to establish marketing material as well as build brand awareness.
• Proposal development and negotiation by assisting CEM Project Directors in preparing the bidding proposal and presenting proposals to potential clients.
• Collaboration with cross functional team as well as within the function teams. Working closely with other sub sectors such as marketing & product development and support business development initiatives
• Representing the company at industry events, conferences, trade shows to promote CEM services and build brand awareness.
• Maintaining and updating Pursuit Dashboard

You will have/be:

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience.
• Background in the construction industry will be highly regarded.
• Strong analytical and strategic skill to identify growth opportunities, develop market entry strategies and formulate business plan to achieve CEM targets.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to network effectively and build relationships with key industry contacts, clients, and decision-makers.
• Ability to identify challenges, assess risks, and develop creative solutions to overcome obstacles and achieve business objectives.

Scope of work:

In charge fully of Accounts Payable:

• Process Staff Claims and reimbursement.
• Process Subcon timecards.
• Process office expenses invoice.
• Perform month end Vendor SOA reconcilation.
• Assisting in audits requires relates to AP funchtion.
• Assist Senior Accounts Executive as required.
• Uphold the accounting standards of the company.
• Participte in the drafting, review and execution of SOP's.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete financial records of Account Payables functions:

• Accurately process invoices and match them to the appropriate general ledger account.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system accurately along with the necessary supporting documentation.
• Check that the invoice is approved before it's processed for payment.
• Reconciliation invidual vendor monthly SOA and follows up with discrepancies or errors.
• Reviews the Accounts Payable Agings Reports and verify the aged items.
• Assist for providing detailed documentation of AP transactions to auditors.

Qualification:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in related fields.
• Degree/Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in handling transactions and/or accounts of construction industry is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Positive working attitude, meticulous with accuracy & efficiency.

1. SUPPORT ASMI’S SUSTAINABILITY & INNOVATION COMMITTEE (SIC)

a. Promote adoption of innovation, decarbonisation and renewables within the marine sector

b. Facilitate transformation of the marine sector towards a low emissions future economy

c. Manage meetings of the SIC

2. ADVANCE MARINE DECARBONISATION

a. Administer the Marine Decarbonisation Champions (MDC) Programme

b. Organise MDC collateral activities

c. Engage external stakeholders including government agencies towards programme objectives

3. ORGANISE THE MARINE AND OFFSHORE (M&O) SYMPOSIUM

a. Coordinate and manage the annual industry thought leadership event

b. Showcase innovative efforts and initiatives in the marine sector

c. Engage ASMI members and other external stakeholders towards symposium objectives

4. GENERAL ADMINISTRATION

a. Support Grant writing for LEAD Programme for the Association (Primarily for the ITM Phase Two on Innovation and Sustainability)

b. Any other initiatives relating to industry development

c. Provide support to other ASMI events and activities as and when required

d. Undertake special projects and ad-hoc duties as and when assigned

Remuneration:

• Basic Salary - $2100 (Probation) to $2300 (Confirmation)
• Performance Incentive: $300 monthly for good attendance & performance! (No lateness or absence)
• Tenure allowance - after 1st/2nd/3rd year anniversary of employment the employee is eligible for $150-$500/monthly tenure allowances
