Summary:
The Project Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and execution of renovation projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves managing subcontractors, overseeing construction activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, and coordinating with the Project Manager to achieve project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Site Management:
* Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
* Ensure that work is performed according to approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
* Monitor the progress of work and identify potential delays or issues.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
* Subcontractor Management:
* Oversee the work of subcontractors, ensuring quality and adherence to schedules.
* Coordinate with subcontractors to resolve any conflicts or issues.
* Verify and approve subcontractor invoices.
* Quality Control:
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure that work meets quality standards.
* Identify and address any defects or deficiencies.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality control activities.
* Safety Management:
* Enforce safety regulations and ensure that all workers adhere to safety protocols.
* Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
* Report and investigate any accidents or incidents.
* Communication and Reporting:
* Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on project progress, including any challenges or concerns.
* Maintain clear and concise communication with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
* Prepare daily or weekly reports on project status.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Project Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on renovation projects.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
* Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
