Job Scope:

- Handle Day-To-Day Business Operations of Singapore's #1 Education Agency

- Attend to interested clients via various forms of warm leads (form orders, calls, WhatsApp, etc.)

(no cold-calling or anything of that sort)

- Assist clients in shortlisting and recommending suitable tutor profiles based on their criteria

- Coordinate and arrange 1st tuition lesson for clients and tutors

- Follow-up with any necessary administrative support and after-sales service

- Familiarize with and utilize custom-made company software which is focused on automation

Job Description:

• Reviewing sales invoices and recognition of revenue
• Reviewing supplier invoices and processing payments
• Preparing monthly payment listing, bank reconciliations
• Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables management and reconciliation

Requirements:

• A Level, Diploma or equivalent

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of accounting staff.
• Ensure timely billings and maintain necessary AR database in shared folder.
• Monitor overall AR performance to ensure timely collection of AR.
• To achieve the DSO days KPI targets and proactively drive further improvements.
• Perform credit analysis of existing and new customers.
• Organize and conduct monthly AR meeting on the debt status with the internal stakeholders involving Commercial team.
• Resolve operational issues arising from any dispute from customers with respect to contract.
• Ensure accurate and timely closing of revenue and doubtful debt provisioning as per company’s Credit Control policy. Propose provision if recovery of outstanding accounts become doubtful.
• Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of monthly financial and management reporting (e.g. AR Ageing Reports, Group revenue by vessel and customers, Top 10 customers report and Monthly Receipt Forecast, etc).
• Responsible for monthly revenue recognition in accordance to FRS.
• Responsible for all audits related to AR activities including ECL assessment.
• Pro-actively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyse information required and any functional requirements for decision making.
• Conduct credit assessment for new customers; and propose credit terms and financial security requirement (if required) during pre-contract review.
• To drive continuous improvement in existing processes and reporting pertaining to AR function.
• Any other tasks as assigned by the Superior/s.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Degree / Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business or any related discipline
• Professional Accountant – CA/CPA
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
• Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage

Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Adhere to both business and underwriting plans and strategies to support the business growth through the various distribution channels.
• Working with the Head, Team Leader, Underwriting and Distribution Team to drive the profitable growth of Financial Lines portfolio for the company and achieving market leadership.
• Working with the Head and team to establish best practices and processes to ensure that the team meet the company’s service standards set.

Underwriting
Assist the Head and work with Team Leader and members to:

• Review and prepare underwriting / renewal information
• Prepare Raters for discussion with Team Leader / Head.
• Underwrite risk of moderate complexity and maintain a profitable book of Specialty Lines business.
• Prepare quotation slips after finalization with Team Leader / Head
• Attend to queries or mid-term changes from existing accounts
• Liaise with intermediaries and follow up on new quotations and renewals
• Ensure timely and proper passing down of instructions to Policy Administration with the required information / documentation.
• Ensure that sanction checks are conducted.
• Handle the checking of policies and broking slips
• Update and maintain the records, schedules, statistics, etc.
• Assist the Head, Team Leader to compile, analyze and prepare monthly reports required for monthly meetings and business reviews.
• Ensure that an acceptable pricing and terms is dertermine within own underwriting authority and underwriting guidelines, on new business and renewals.
• Ensure acceptable loss ratio through coordinating account stewardship process, loss control activities, tracking and following up on large claims and related activity as required.
• Ensure evaluation of facultative reinsurance needs and coordination as necessary within company underwriting and risk control guidelines.
• Stay current on competition, underwriting environment, and market conditions and to share findings and updates with all members of the team as appropriate.

Business Development

• Assist the Head and Team Leader in successful business penetration launch.
• Assist the Head and Team Leader in growing new and existing business through strengthened account relationships by way of a multi-tier approach.
• Assist the Head and own Team Leader in driving efforts in key business and line reviews including product selection, pricing, new product introductions, competitive (healthy) conversions via Key Decision Influencer, etc.
• Assist the Head and Team Leader in performing territory and distribution channel analyses and planning in order to prioritize allocation of efforts to maximize profitable growth.

Channel / Relationship Management / Service Standards

• Develop, maintain and deepen relationships with intermediaries in support of business retention and acquisition and works with customers and distributors (agents & brokers) to determine their insurance related needs and provide solutions.
• Maintain service standards by timely response to intermediaries’ requests and timely receipt of collateral and agreements in addition to meeting deadlines on submissions of quotations, certificates and/or policies.
• Adopt practices to ensure rigorous screening via our KYC process.

Job Requirement

• ACII, ANZIIF or Degree/Diploma in Insurance
• Basic Degree/Diploma in Business or Banking & Finance with CGI
• RPLU designation with the Professional Liability Underwriting Society
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Specialty Lines insurance underwriting with direct intermediary engagement / technical underwriting.
• Knowledge of insurance operations, underwriting procedures and understanding in policy wordings.
• Understanding of risk assessment, laws and legislation in relation to the general insurance industry and specifically within the Financial Lines field.
