The Regional Financial Controller will be responsible for both the Asia and Middle East regions and report to the CFO. The candidate will partner closely with both the Finance Control and Operations teams to ensure there are strong financial controls and processes in the business. Leading the Credit Centre of Excellence with end-to-end responsibility of Credit processes executed within the Business and Coverage Operations unit. In particular, the role holder will be the:

• Global Process Owner: GPO for overseeing all aspects of process and governance for the Level 1 process within Client Coverage Process Universe including Credit Origination & Renewal, Credit Allied Risks, Credit Monitoring and Credit Fulfilment processes ensuring ongoing compliance to both internal policies and external regulations. • Credit and Client Risk Hub CoE: In partnership with Client Coverage Business Management, oversight the execution of the strategic build-out of a client risk assessment centre of excellence/hub model as well as the integration of the Climate Risk Analyst Hub team. Lead and manage the Credit Analyst and ESG Risk Analyst teams based in GBS locations through respective leads to support onshore CAs in foundational or credit-allied risk areas, providing them with greater capacity and flexibility to:

Role Synopsis:

The Credit and Compliance Manager is a leadership role within BP Sinopec Marine Fuels (BPSM), a joint venture between Sinopec and BP that specializes in bunkering services and cargo trading. The role is responsible for formulating, implementing and operating BPSM’s credit, customer onboarding and compliance policies and procedures. • Drive the overall finance performance and forecast accuracy for Asia Gaming working with the Category, Channel Marketing and Sales teams to understand the drivers and the levers available to influence - proactively flagging upsides, risks, actions needed and managing the overall investments and Gross Margin.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Liaise with Procurement & Subcontracts Leads and Project Managers to review and set up Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Work Package / project budgets.
• Preparing reports on revenue (as sold), internal budgets, commitments, budget transfers, change and variation orders; forecasts and cash-flows in-line with internal management reporting requirements;
• Monitors and updates the actual and committed cost periodically and analyses these costs and trends;
• Verify cost allocations according to Work Package;
• Prepare monthly Cost Report (Ms Excel or EcoSys) and GPR, and Client’s Reports as required;
• Prepare monthly Cash Flow and 15 weeks Cash Flow
• Monitor and identify variance from project current budget and previous EAC and report accordingly;
• Maintain Change Order, Budget Transfers, Trends Register and prepare supporting documents;
• Assist PMs and Project Commercial Managers with estimates and supporting documentation for CO to be submitted to Clients;
• Prepare billing memo with supporting documents for Finance to prepare invoices and entries into SAP;
• Internal liaison with Finance/Procurement/Operations to maintain efficient & accurate recording of cost expenditure and manage discrepancies for preparation of accurate and complete cost reports;
• Troubleshoot cost abnormalities in reporting data and liaise with relevant parties as necessary;
• Provide the support to Finance for External Audit and Tax Audit;
• Support Project Manager with risk process and maintain an updated risk register;
• Support Project Manager to coordinate with all disciplines and providing input to the Manpower Management System (MMS);
• Prepare Project and Management ad hoc reports;
• Assist Senior Project Controls Manager to coordinate with SEA projects for cost report, GPR and risk register and prepare consolidation reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years working experience in engineering & construction environment and minimum 5 years of cost control experience.
• Must be fluent in the English language and be an effective communicator.
• Diploma in Engineering or Science
• High level of Competency in the use of MS Excel (Intermediate to Advance), Power Point and Word.
• Experience in ERP System (SAP preferred) and Cost Control System (EcoSys preferred)

Description:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting and finance department.
• Review month end and year end accounting closing activities under the supervision of Finance Head.
• Ensure compliance in local tax corporate income tax and government service tax computation with local tax advisory for tax filing in Singapore.
• Management of company accounts and preparation of financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and Singapore Companies Act.
• Ensure with high level of accuracy and timing, the preparation of various management reports and financial analysis for the company’s management.
• Facilitate independent auditors to ensure consistent audit approach as group, audit processes are also streamlined to ensure prompt signing of group financial statement.
• Maintain accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures.
• Supervise treasury functions of the company including cashflow forecasting, commercial financing, and investment.

Requirements:

The Role

The APAC Region is at the forefront of building a world class approach to Working Capital management across Clyde & Co. This includes automation of repetitive tasks, addressing the root causes of billing and payment delays and forming strategic partnerships with our key clients and service providers. We currently have one vacancy for a Credit Controller who is keen to join, and grow within, a high performing team. This role is within in a team that collectively supports Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Thailand. . As a result we are open to candidates from all of these locations. Key Responsibilities

This role reports to the Working Capital Manager, APAC Region. Routine responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• accurate and timely allocation of receipts, clearing of open items in the banking functions
• banking and deposits of incoming cheques (is this a thing of the past?)
• generating aged accounts receivable reports and distributing to each practice
• conducting, summarizing and logging regular meetings with Partners
• preparing and emailing reminders regarding overdue accounts
• follow up verbal and written communication to internal and external stakeholders
• dealing with internal queries about credit issues
• maintaining collections history database
• monitoring credit to ensure the firm meets its monthly KPI
• general assistance to the finance team

In addition to the routine tasks you will also be a significant contributor to our change agenda:

• Implementing new systems and processes to automate regular reminders to clients
