Qatar Investment Authority Advisory (Asia Pacific) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qatar Investment Authority (QIA).

The primary role of Qatar Investment Authority Advisory (Asia Pacific) is to provide investment research and advisory services to Qatar Investment Authority in respect of existing and potential investments in the Asia Pacific region, including China, India, Japan, and South East Asia.

Job Purpose

• To contribute to assigned investments by providing analysis, insight, and reports regarding the APAC region.
• To contribute to the development of the respective sub-asset classes through external investment managers and support in the development of a co-investment pipeline for QIA’s internal Investment teams, in line with the risk-appetite, to achieve optimal returns across different asset classes.

Accountabilities

• Review, recommend and prepare plan for structuring new investments/transactions, running the majority of transaction components, and ensure relevant documentation in coordination with internal departments in order to safeguard QIA’s interests.

• Provide reports and analysis to the team in preparation of detailed business plans in relation to the investment strategy.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or equivalent from a reputable and recognized university; MBA qualification is preferable
• Completed at least CFA Level 1
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive professional experience in investment houses and similar investment institutions
• Proficiency in Arabic is preferable as each role requires the ability to communicate with QIA internal stakeholders in Arabic

About the team

The Large Credit team works collaboratively with merchants, business development teams, relationship managers, transaction risk analysts, compliance and legal departments to support growth objectives while mitigating and managing risk. What you’ll own

The primary responsibility of the Worldpay Credit team member is to review large credit risk exposure accounts with a focus on the merchant’s credit fundamentals. Analysis is performed to ensure adequate financial strength in relation to the potential exposure generated from the payment processing relationship.
