Requirements :

• Possess a Degree in Accountancy / Professional qualification with ACCA / CIMA / CPA.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience preferably in manufacturing environment.
• With at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a management reporting at managerial capacity, relevant Group Financials experience in a SGX listed company.
• SAP or other ERP system knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Possess strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and Powerpoint.

Your Career

We are looking for a highly motivated, results oriented Senior Commercial Finance Manager - JAPAC to join our organization. The primary focus of this role is to partner with Deals Desk, Revenue, and Palo Alto Financial Services teams to help structure profitable and compliant transactions that address the needs of a diverse set of internal corporate customers and increase the effectiveness and productivity of our sales teams. The right person for this role takes a collaborative approach and has the ability to work across different teams with disparate requirements. The right candidate is someone who excels at problem solving through critical thinking and fact based analysis. Who will obtain a thorough understanding of the deal review process and continuously focus on improving the efficiencies and effectiveness of the broader organization.

Your Impact

• Work with the Senior Director of Sales Finance JAPAC to provide effective and timely guidance to JAPAC sales teams on non-standard deal pricing & structure and associated financial impacts.
• Obtain thorough understanding of Palo Alto Networks products, offerings, and associated pricing strategies.
• Provide senior leadership with financial analysis and evaluations of deal economics, commercial terms and conditions, the operational requirements, and the risk and reward profiles for the sales opportunities.
• Become an expert on the quoting tools within the Sales Finance team
• Be a key resource for reviewing and approving non-standard pricing and financial term requests that escalate to Finance.
• Partner with Deals Desk and Revenue team for decision support and to ensure revenue recognition and financial policy compliance for all non-standard transactions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to field sales. Partner with the field sales organization to help drive deal closure.
• Evaluate current processes and offer recommendations for areas of improvement.

Your Experience

• 7~10 years of relevant experiences around Commercial Finance, Deals Desk / Deals Management, or Sales Finance within the High-Tech industry
• Ability to build strong working relationships with internal business units
• Strong organization skills, including ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and adapt to frequently changing situations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
• Experience in data analysis, modeling and/or financial analysis
• Intermediate/advanced Salesforce.com and MS Excel skills highly desired
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Main purpose of job

• Responsible for APAC financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions
• Developing efficiencies and process improvements within APAC teams’ work streams

Accountabilities

1. SEA accounting and finance functions

• Responsible for effective accounting operations and governance;
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual closing to ensure all financial and management reporting deadlines are met;
• Provide senior management with budgets and periodic forecasts, including bookings, sales, margins, SG&A, EBITDA and working capital;
• Run annual budgets and forecasts, including the roll-out of regular re-forecasting cycles and processes;
• Developing, coordinating, and reporting budgets and forecasts for individual departments;
• Operating performance for the upcoming month, quarter and year;
• Leading, training and guiding finance team to achieve company goals; and
• Ensure adequate and effective internal control systems are in place and in compliance with SOX requirements, and to properly safeguard company assets

2. Financial planning and analysis

• Developing efficiencies and process improvements within the team’s work streams;
• Partnering with departmental leaders to determine and support financial analysis needs;
• Managing financial aspects of projects by determining key drivers, driving the right set of analyses and presenting the conclusions;
• Monthly reporting and variance analysis, including backlogs and bookships;
• Product margins and performance (also Business Unit performance);
• Customer margins and performance;
• Regional margins and performance;
• Prepare ad-hoc management financial reports as required;
• Prepare management reporting packs in a timely and clear fashion, with risks and opportunities readily identified; and
• Support APAC VP Finance on ad-hoc tasks as required.

3. Legal, Health and Safety

Requirements

• Accounting or finance degree preferred
• CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent preferred
• 10+ years of post qualification experience with more than 3 years in FP&A function and at least 5 years’ of managerial experience in leading finance teams, preferred
• Desire to get into the details and drive financial excellence
• Strong presentation skills to present to high level stakeholders
• FP&A experience gained within established MNCs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and deadline driven
• Strong knowledge of planning and performance processes, including annual budget, monthly forecast and periodic business reviews
• Team orientated, a “can do” attitude and flexible approach  Superior analysis skills
• Enthusiasm for solving problems and working collaboratively
• Work experience with mid-size to large companies with high growth preferred
• Independent/Self-starter with high attention to detail and assertiveness
• Strong working knowledge of accounting, controlling, finance operations, US GAAP and SOX compliance. Knowledge of SAP (CRS) and Power BI desirable preferred

• Review the exceptional status and premium collections. Scrutinize, categorize, and solve the reconciling items.
• Create and gather supporting documentation for payment setup. Align payments in the accounting system.
• Reconcile the company's and the insurers' financial statements. Maintaining the digital copy of all payment documents.
• Provide recommendations for enhancement.
• Perform ad hoc and related activities as assigned.
