The Natural Sciences and Science Education Academic Group (NSSE AG) at the National Institute of Education in Singapore is committed to discovery and innovation in sciences and science education. Comprising faculty from both science content and pedagogical disciplines, we adopt an inter-disciplinary approach to teaching and research. Our science education researchers focus mainly on maximizing the potential of every child through research on students' learning approaches and problem-solving skills, and work with teachers to develop models of creative teaching and new approaches to learning. The NSSE AG invites applications for Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Primary and Early Years Science Education.

Requirements

Successful candidates must have:

• A basic degree in Sciences and a PhD in education (specializing in science education)
• Published papers in top-tier, peer-reviewed international education journals, and be able to teach in English
• Teaching qualifications, and it is desirable to have taught at secondary or primary level for at least 5 years and have leadership experience in school
• Post-doctoral research experience, prior experience in conducting professional development courses for teachers, and conducting research in multilingual and multicultural environments are desirable.

Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

• Conceptualize, teach and grade pre-service and in-service courses in Curriculum Studies (e.g., pedagogy/methods, assessment, curriculum) in Primary, and graduate level courses in Science Education
• Supervise student teachers in practicum attachments and course assignments, and supervise MEd/PhD students. Involvement in course coordination will be required. Additionally, academic staff members serve on committees in the academic 01group/NIE/NTU and offer consultancy and professional services to schools, the Ministry of Education and other public education-related organizations on a request basis
• Develop research programmes in areas of their interest and to publish in top-tier, peer-reviewed international education journals
• Compete for grants to support their research work.

• preparation of south indian& north indian curies

• Taking orders from wait staff or computerized system

• Cooking order according to food health and safety standards

• Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes

• Handling multiple food orders at one time

• Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive

• Dressing order for presentation

• Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides

• Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely manner

• Storing all food properly

• Sanitizing and cleaning work stations and utensils

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Receive, check and examine the inventory of stock that arrive at the warehouses and storage facilities where stock is held.
• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to the delivery schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
• Make report of any discrepancies, if any, for incoming goods against the invoices.
• Ensure the daily log for inventory management is always up-to-date.
• Assist the drivers in processing clearance documents.
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment as and when needed.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation.
• Any other duties and responsibilities may be varied from time to time at the sole discretion of the Company.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Is self-driven, meticulous and a good team player.
• Able to lift and carry materials weighing around 25kgs.
• Possess at least 1-2 years of working experience. Experience in modern warehousing practices and methods in a related or similar field will be an advantage.
• Possess effective administrative and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Possess at least GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ level or professional certification from recognised institutions.
• A valid forklift licence will be preferred, but training will be provided to get the license, if needed.

CAREER PROGRESSION:

Anyone who demonstrates good performance in this role can be considered for the role of a Driver cum Logistics Assistant after one year. The Company may provide partial or full sponsorship for attaining a class 4 driving license in Singapore.
