As a key liaison with clients and stakeholders, you are expected to communicate confidently and operate independently. This role will involve supporting assignments in China and Mandarin-speaking markets, requiring proficiency in Mandarin.

Over time, subject to outstanding performance and progress of your growth, you can expect to be developed to take on leadership roles such as the General Manager of the client airport’s business venture, established in partnership with CAI.

Responsibilities:

Traffic Development

• Develop strategic analysis to grow passenger / cargo traffic and aeronautical revenues for client airports.
• Assess the traffic development potential for target airports.
• Execute innovative and effective airline / industry marketing strategies.
• Build business cases for airline network planners.
• Work with industry, economic development and tourism authorities to drive growth of passenger and cargo traffic within identified target air service markets.
• Perform data analytics work to improve data tools and develop new data solutions where necessary.

Commercial Development

• Develop airport commercial strategy to grow airport revenue and enhance asset value involving conducting market research to gain insights to consumer behavior and industry benchmarking.
• Optimize commercial layouts, product offerings, and tenant mix.
• Drive Tenant Marketing campaigns which could include crafting narrative, using social media and organizing roadshows.
• Draw up business plans which could include revenue modelling and financial analysis and term sheets for key commercial contracts.
• Conduct commercial performances analytics against budgets.
• Client engagement includes due diligence, reporting and presentations.

Airport Operations

• Provide guidance to Changi’s overseas airports, as well as client airports in operational areas.
• Analyse operational flows / processes and the passenger journey, identify pain points and recommend solutions.
• Guide / Support our asset airports and clients in developing processes, SOPs and manuals to meet regulatory, operational and business needs.
• Collaborate with airport counterparts to address and resolve operational challenges.

Requirements:

• Good degree in any discipline with at least 8 years of related overseas work experience with minimally 5 years in an airport traffic development role, or an airline network planning or revenue management role
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin, essential for engaging with clients in China and other Mandarin-speaking markets.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and adjacent plugins, specifically advanced Excel, PowerPoint and think-cell.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to engage stakeholders at various levels.
• Must be able to work independently, driven and takes initiative to drive/lead changes to improve from status quo

As part of our Operations Consultancy Practice, you will be responsible for providing guidance to Changi’s overseas airports, as well as client airports in operational areas, such as the planning and management of passenger terminals, airside operations, Airport Operational Control Centre (AOCC) management, cargo operations, operational efficiency, Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) etc.

You will need to analyse operational flows / processes and the passenger journey, to identify pain points and be able to recommend solutions i.e., in areas of process / facility / system reorganisation etc. The aim is to help our airports improve operational efficiency, while managing costs effectively. In addition, you may need to guide or support our asset and client airports in developing processes, SOPs and manuals to meet regulatory, operational and business needs.

You will need to engage our airports’ partners and their stakeholders, as well as work with colleagues from different areas e.g., Commercial, Traffic Development, Master-planning, Project Management etc. in developing integrated solutions for our clients.

To perform well in this role, you must have an analytical mind and be able to quickly identify the root causes and issues affecting operations and ultimately, customer service. Naturally, you must also possess sound operational thinking, while being able to effectively manage partners and implement solutions in a cost-effective manner. Being a team player and being able to adapt to the different needs of each project is a must. The candidate must be able to travel for work and work across cultures and nationalities, as all our projects are overseas projects.

• Perform a monthly review of asset and client airports’ operations and preparation of related materials
• Provide advisory on operational matters in various projects and Business Development, as part of integrated consultancy solutioning

• Lead Business Development initiatives and take on project management roles, where necessary

Requirements:

• A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in developing, planning and managing Operations is required, preferably in the airport, airline or ground handling industries.

Jobs Description

- Responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft of Japan Airlines, Japan's leading airline, to ensure that the base maintenance of the aircraft at Changi Airport is appropriate and fully meets the company's high safety standards, in order to ensure that passengers have a safe flight.

- Based on extensive knowledge and practical skills of aircraft operated by Japan Airlines, as well as Japanese aviation laws and regulations, responsible for auditing the quality of aircrafts' base maintenance that the company executes in collaboration with ST Engineering Aerospace Services Co Pte Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “STEASC”).

- Review and approve repair plans prepared by STEASC for defects founded, based on knowledge of the aircraft and comprehensive awareness of Japan Airline's aircraft maintenance standards.

- Audit STEASC's daily operations and communicate with them to ensure that the aircraft maintenance process fully meets the high standards required by Japan Airlines to ensure passenger safety.

- In the event of an aircraft trouble during maintenance, quickly take the lead of emergency response in cooperation with STEASC and Japan headquarters.

Job requirements

- At least 15 years of working experience in an airline as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.

- At least 10 years of experience of base maintenance of wide body aircrafts, Boeing 787, 777, 767, and Airbus 350.

- Possess JCAB Class 1 Engineer Certificate.

- Possess a valid Class 3 driving license.

- Comprehensive knowledge on Japanese aviation laws and regulations.

- Diploma in engineering or a relevant degree.

- Japanese communication skill of JPLT N1 or equivalent is required for this post, for accurate and prompt communication and direction to the relevant departments at the Tokyo head office, in the event of an urgent aircraft trouble.
