Job Summary
The Kitchen Operations Manager at D’leecious Kitchen is responsible for managing all aspects of daily kitchen operations, from food preparation to customer service. This role requires a proactive, strategic mindset, as the manager will play a key role in optimizing kitchen efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards, and contributing to the growth of the food stall. Working alongside the Director, the Kitchen Operations Manager is expected to take full ownership of the operations and support long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute all food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring that food is ready and of top quality for daily operations from 9 am to 6 pm.
- Implement and enforce strict hygiene and food safety protocols to maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
- Set daily goals in consultation with the Director and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to food quality, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.
- Manage inventory with a focus on cost control, waste reduction, and maximizing freshness and quality of ingredients.
- Conduct monthly inventory audits and analyze usage patterns to streamline ordering processes.
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing and delivery terms to optimize procurement costs, under the guidance of the Director.
- Develop customer engagement strategies to create a welcoming and memorable dining experience.
- Implement and refine processes for handling feedback, aiming to build long-term customer loyalty.
- Track customer preferences and feedback to adjust menu offerings and improve service quality.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance kitchen efficiency and speed of service.
- Conduct regular assessments of workflow, equipment usage, and resource allocation to optimize productivity.
- Support the Director in identifying opportunities for business expansion, menu diversification, and scaling operations.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports detailing sales, expenses, and operational insights, providing recommendations to improve profitability.
- Track labor and food costs against revenue targets, ensuring operations meet budgeted financial goals.
- Collaborate with the Director to develop monthly budgets and financial projections, contributing to the financial health of the business.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in a managerial or senior role.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen and food safety regulations.
- Experience with budgeting, inventory management, and cost control.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage customer interactions and support the Director’s business strategies.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and make data-driven decisions to improve operations.
