Overview

The Asian Languages and Cultures (ALC) at the National Institute of Education in Singapore comprises the Chinese, Malay, and Tamil Divisions. Requirements

· Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Applied Linguistics, with a strong interest in second language acquisition, curriculum development, and the pedagogy of teaching listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills both as a mother tongue and as a second language to children and adolescents

· Extensive experience and expertise in research in the above fields

· Native or near-native competence in oral and written Chinese and English

· Demonstrate strong ability for effective undergraduate and graduate level teaching
