The Airspace Mobility Solutions (AMS) business, part of the Global Business Unit Land and Air Systems, is providing leading edge Air Traffic Management (ATM), Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM), Security and Digital Aviation solutions for the Commercial and Defence sectors.
The AMS business manages 11% of the world’s airspace and with revenues of over 500 million Euros worldwide, is the global market leader in airspace management solutions. In Singapore, the business focus is the delivery and support of two key ATM solutions including TopSKY-ATC(HE) and LORADS-III.
This role will initially support the TopSKY-ATC (HE) product.
ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Product Owner (PO) will lead and provide technical direction for a multidisciplinary squad working within a SAFe framework. The PO is responsible for the allocation and prioritisation of ATM functions to epics to maximise the value delivered by the team and ensure that the team backlog is aligned to business objectives as defined by the Initiative Owner (IO).
The PO will engage with key stakeholders, including; solution architects, speciality engineers (Safety, Security, HF) and ATM subject matter experts to prepare and deliver requirement and design changes with reference to a defined system functional baseline to satisfy customer needs and project/bid cost targets.
KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As aProduct Owner / Senior Systems Engineer, you are accountable for:
· Set a clear vision outlining the squad’s purpose and develop a strategy tailored to the squad’s capabilities
· Organise the co-engineering of the Feature Team working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
· Define the work (Epics/Features/Stories) and create the team backlog into thoroughly defined and deliverable items without compromising quality standards
· Prioritise the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities and ensure alignment with business objectives defined by the Initiative Owner
· Define and verify the Definition of Ready (DoR) - a unit of work is ready to be tackled
· Define and verify the Definition of Done (DoD) - a unit of work is complete
· Synthesise information from multiple sources
· Proactively identify, along with the Scrum Master, any necessary upskilling required within the squad.
· Design and maintain the systems engineering artefacts for the ATM function, including; requirements, capability description, functional behaviour and data exchanges (internal and external interfaces)
· Ensure the transversal constraints related to the function are considered (Safety, Human Factor, Performance, Security)
· Contribute and participate to the technical reviews (SOR, SFR, FIRR, SwRR)
· Contribute to the definition of the validation strategy
· Provides technical oversight to other teams within the project/bid, ensuring that the designed solution is implemented as per the design and in accordance to the project/bid schedule and cost and quality constraints.
· Support the Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM) by providing timely inputs to maintain the master schedule
KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
Qualifications
· Degree in Engineering, IT or related discipline
· Postgraduate studies in Systems Engineering (Desirable)
Essential Experience
· Air Traffic Management in one or more of the following functional areas:
o Coordination
o Surveillance
o Adaptation/Configuration
o Interpartition/SWIM
o Profile
o HMI
o Tower
o Simulation and Training
o Safety Nets/Conflict Detection
o AMAN/DMAN
· Proven experience in Systems Engineering (7+ years) including; Requirements, Design, Integration and Verification and Validation
· Experience with Systems Engineering Standards eg. ISO/IEC15288
· Proven experience in the ATM Domain and related standards eg. ICAO, Eurocontrol
· Proven experience in the development of products and projects in a variety of methodologies, with a particular focus on iterative/agile development
· Proven experience as Product Owner in an Agile framework
· Experience with Safety, Security and Human Factors standards and practices
· Demonstrated ability to achieve effective outcomes in a multidiscipline, multi-culture environment
· Coaching and sharing of his/her know-how

· A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.
· Comfort in facing and managing complexity
· Sound judgement and independent decision-making capability where necessary
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
Desirable:
· Experience in System Engineering tools eg. DOORs,
· Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering and tools eg. Capella
· Experience in working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
· Experience in Jira and visual management
· French Literacy
