Job Overview:
As an AV Programmer, you will play a critical role in designing, programming, and configuring audio-visual systems for our clients. You will collaborate with our project teams to ensure the successful implementation of cutting-edge AV solutions, providing exceptional service and technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
1. System Design: Collaborate with our sales and project teams to understand client requirements and objectives. Design custom AV systems that meet client needs, ensuring compatibility, functionality, and scalability.
2. Programming: Develop and customize control system software for audio-visual equipment. This includes programming control processors, touch panels, and user interfaces to create seamless and intuitive AV solutions.
3. Integration: Configure and integrate various AV components, including audio processors, video switchers, displays, and communication systems, to create unified and reliable AV systems.
4. Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality checks on AV systems to ensure they meet design specifications, work seamlessly, and meet client expectations.
5. Documentation: Create detailed documentation of system designs, programming codes, and configuration settings. Maintain accurate records of project-related information.
6. Client Support: Provide technical support to clients during system installation, commissioning, and user training. Address and resolve technical issues promptly and professionally.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure project timelines and objectives are met. Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to stay updated on the latest AV technologies.
8. Training: Train clients and end-users on the operation of AV systems, providing clear instructions and user documentation.
9. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to AV systems, offering effective solutions and preventive maintenance recommendations.
10. Stay Informed: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AV programming and integration. Pursue relevant certifications and training opportunities.
Professional Skills & Abilities:
· Proven experience in AV system design, programming, and integration
· Proficiency in programming languages such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, or similar
· Strong knowledge of audio-visual equipment, control systems, and signal flow
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Effective communication and client-facing abilities
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team and meet project deadlines
Qualifications:
· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
· Additional preferred certifications, e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I will be a plus
