• Assists the Project Manager in managing and supervising the execution of production works and ensuring the delivery of assigned projects
• Assists the Project Manager in planning and prioritising the order of works and work methodology
• Liaises with the project team to allocate adequate manpower and equipment resources
• Monitors work progress on board vessels and in workshops
• Conducts production meetings between Yard’s subcontractors, supervisor and ship’s staff to clarify work scope, co-ordinate sequence of work, update schedules and other contractual matters, as and when required
• Ensures works are carried out according to the job specifications in terms of quantity, quality and meeting Class/Owner requirements by developing test plans and arranging for inspection and survey for the Superintendents and Classification
• Completes the process of mechanical completion and commissioning scope of work
• Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Shipbuilding, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or relevant apprenticeship training in a marine trade
• Knowledge of various workshops dealing with specialised works in the industry
• Able to perform scheduled night duties when required
• Attend to vessel’s needs during weekends and public holidays
• Travel within the country or abroad for ship check
• Good knowledge of marine industry skills in any discipline
• Knowledge in Hull,Mechanical, Piping & Electrical will be advantageous
• Good planning,organization, control, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
• Good knowledge of project management software and other planning softwares
• Keen to work in a shipyard environment

The responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to, those contained in the following statements:

1. direct liaison with stakeholders in charge of project services (procurement/ draughting/ assets/ human resources);

2. specify scope of work and budgets for engineering activities, assets and 3rd party activities;

3. to be conversant with all items and conditions of the project both technically and commercially and to have a full understanding of the scope of work;

4. implementation, control and monitoring of overall safety and quality assurance in all project related activities as laid down in the company’s management system;

5. preparation and maintenance of budgets for the project assisted by the cost controller

6. preparation of the monthly reporting internal & external;

7. ensuring variations between actual costs and budget are monitored and controlled;

8. identifying and initiating any variations towards the client or approve/ reject variations from third parties on the basis of the contract T&C’s;

9. liaise with the client and ensure that project meetings are held with relevant personnel;

10. establishing all the resources from company’s departments needed to carry out the project.

11. encourage any technical developments or suggestions that will enhance the overall project engineering or operational efficiency;

12. ensure that all aspects of project administration, engineering and operations fulfil the contract requirements and are conducted in a safe, efficient and profitable manner;

13. conduct all activities within the management system, procedures and work instructions;

14. advise and assist commercial department with tenders for potential work;

15. ad-hoc duties as deemed required to complete the workscope.

Job Description:

• Responsible for projects detail design, prototype, commissioning and testing completed systems

• Liaise with Customer and internal team members to ensure good co-ordination, planning and meeting project schedule

• Coordinate and manage factory testing in both company premises and customer’s site.

• Responsible for integration of both hardware & software work as well as implementation

• Carry out proper execution of the integration/engineering/maintenance work and QA Technical checks throughout project execution

• Handel application programme change management, hardware deployment management & documentation

• Implantation of PLC/SCADA project from concept to design and programming

• Interface with SCADA & PLC programming

• Meeting with clients, reports and documentation

• Capable of performing troubleshooting independently

Job Requirement:

• At least Diploma in Electrical/Electronic or related discipline

Job Descriptions :

The Project Engineer is responsible for

• Project deployment for customers' Enterprise IT Network Services.
• Work closely with Project Manager to fulfil project deliverables.
• Execute, monitor and assist in the installation and ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software and networks in project delivery.
• Responsible for supporting operational systems satisfying contractual Service Level Agreement

• Diagnose and rectify technical issues.
