About the role:

• Develop control software for precision and high-throughput automated equipment.
• Develop electrical design for automated machine with the assistance of draftsman in creating schematic drawings and BOM creation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design system architectures, and implement software solutions.
• Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Support and troubleshoot existing automation systems, identifying and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.

Your Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other equivalent disciplines.

Your experience includes:

• VB6, C# and/or C++ OOP and multi-threading PC based software programming.
• Experience in electrical design for machine automation in Class100 cleanroom environment will be very much preferred though not compulsory.
• Knowledge and/or experience in machine vision technology, AI technology, SolidWorks 3D or control automation will be an added advantage.

Job Description:

· Prepare design concept according to customer requirement & compiling quotation from new/existing supplier at RFQ stage.

· Lead the qualification of new part from new supplier with Project buyer. Work with Quality Assurance to qualify the new supplier when required.

· Execute design according to customer requirements and to finish the jobs within given schedule and budget.

· Review and confirm technical specification with customer.

· Develop detail & assembly drawing according to Sys-Mac drafting standard.

· Designer to draw schematic diagrams for Assembly.

· Loading drawings and the files into in-house manufacturing share drive for their retrieval.

· Print drawings to verify the correctness before handling to Admin Assistant to route to in-house manufacturing to produce the parts.

· Prepare Bill of Material (BOM).

· Request PDA from planner and prepare Material Requirement List (MRL) of the project and release to Planner/Project Engineer.

· Liaise with respective Control Engineer for the requirements of electrical circuit and software development of the project.

· Liaise with the Project Engineer and assist on execution of assembly and buyoff of the project as and when necessary.

· Initiate Change Notice Request (NCR) for change of part design.

· Report progress and project related issues to the Sr. Design Engineer.

· Prepare of Machine Operation Manual & Maintenance (Mechanical) for the project.

· Maintain proper project documentation.

· Other duties as and when assigned.

Job Requirements:

· Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

· Min. 4 years relevant experience in Automation machine design.

· Ability to create and interpret mechanical drawings, carry out design calculations and component detailed drawings.

About our group:

RMO Material Science Laboratory’s primary mission is to provide analytical test solutions to enable media and product qualification on product yield, quality, and reliability. The team also serves a critical role on HDM tribology, contamination, and defect reduction, working closely with and enabling other functions in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Recording Technology, R&D, Customer Integration, and Manufacturing. This role will report to an Engineering Manager.

About the role - you will:

Be a team member in next generation Recording media development & product qualification to improve process stability & manufacturability. Task to work with R&D team & Process to support media Carbon and lubricant characterization, interface, and surface contamination analysis.

• Perform material science lab test and hands on operation laboratory analytical instruments e.g. XPS, Raman, SEM-EDX & TOF-SIMS.
• Work in a team that develops metrology and deploys technical solution to meet the products CTQ and reliability requirements of hard disc drive.
• Work closely with the design functional groups to provide high-level analytical support to product and process engineering team.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Test Engineer with a minimum of 8 years in software testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing both manual and automated testing on desktop, web-based, and embedded software applications. This role will involve setting up automation test frameworks, creating and maintaining test scripts, and collaborating closely with multi-functional teams to ensure the highest quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Testing: Conduct comprehensive manual and automated testing for desktop, web-based, and embedded software applications.
• Automation Framework: Set up and maintain automation test frameworks using Selenium WebDriver.
• Script Development: Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Multi-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, System Analysts, Quality Assurance, and Software/Firmware Development teams to capture requirements and ensure alignment on testing strategies.
• On-Market Support: Provide support for existing product offerings, including fixing and resolving issues.
• New Product Introduction: Participate in the introduction of new products, ensuring thorough testing and validation.
• Requirement Discussions: Engage in requirement discussions and reviews to ensure clarity and completeness.

• Experience in creating, executing, and maintaining automation test scripts.
• Knowledge of SQL is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong experience working with multi-functional teams.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jama, and HP ALM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
