Additional Job Description

Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.

Responsibilities:

Support strategic equipment control and/or supplier data collaboration activities

• Support world-wide alignment and continuous improvement of practices.
• Evaluate global needs and cultivate global relationships.
• Support and mentor equipment control teams or data collaboration teams worldwide.
• Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify business process gaps and Best Known Methods (BKMs) to address.
• Facilitate communication plan for all SWAT activities to/from stakeholders, participants, and management.
• Refine SWAT charter, and build roadmap going forward for world-wide alignment and continuous improvement of practices.
• Evaluate the quality of data collected, drawing conclusions based on this data and initiating follow-up action items.
• Partner with GQ teams, OCT PEE, OCT MAE, SMAI and IT to ensure all business needs are properly documented, validated, and escalated as needed.
• Determine if project objectives have been met or if more effort is required.
• Provide direction or facilitation of practical application of equipment control or supplier data collaboration systems within the MFG environment.

Demonstrate Individual Competence/Technical Expertise

• Provide technical consulting and hands-on assistance to Fab teams for creation and/or identification of best solutions.
• Evaluate third-party software and/or hardware selection.
• Recognize functional and business process gaps. Formulate proposals for closing them.
• Increase technical expertise by participating in classes conferences and researching existing literature and existing Micron expertise.

• Provide communication to the World-wide equipment control and/or supplier data collaboration groups on lessons learned, project repositories, summits, new technologies, conference proceedings and Best Known Methods (BKMs).

• Communicate effectively with vendors/suppliers. Understand and use appropriate communication channels (other Central Team members, Purchasing, etc.).
