Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components for DxD Hub. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilising CAD software, conducting feasibility studies, verification testing and ensuring designs meet technical and regulatory requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Conceptualise, design, and develop mechanical components and mechanisms for medical devices

· Prepare and maintain design documentation such as specifications, bill of materials, test protocols, test reports, etc.

· Perform structural analysis, thermal analysis, and other relevant tests to validate and optimise designs.

· Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability and performance of proposed designs.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including biological scientists, electrical engineers, software engineers, and project managers.

· Ensure compliance with DxD Hub Quality Management system, standards, and regulatory requirements such as FDA and ISO13485 etc.

Key Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master"s degree is a plus.

· Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.

· Proficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

· Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

· Knowledge in quality, product verification test, QMS, and ISO13485 would be an advantage.

Post 1) Engineering Assistant (Operation)

Job description:

• To support Production Technicians/Operators in machine and process troubleshooting, process change process control, failure analysis and assist supervisor in controlling the production team.
• To specialize in processes and to perform higher level of troubleshooting and failure analysis
• Guide the technicians and operators to achieve required output and quality
  To check on the supplementary materials change to ensure they are properly done
• To assist Line Engineer to check all the control chart and checklist
• To ensure smooth production operation with production report
• To monitor, troubleshoot and improve the production daily final test yield
  To perform maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery.

Post 2) Technician / Engineering Assistant (Manufacturing)

• Operation of the machines and process to ensure non-stop operation of the production line. Including regular input of raw materials to the fully automated line.
• Normal operation and monitoring of the machines to ensure that the output is of the required quality and quantity as well as to perform troubleshooting and repair whenever there is machine down so as to ensure minimum machine downtime is incurred.
• To perform target change, head calibration and to ensure proper procedure is carried out.
• For any major trouble, a written report is to be submitted to the supervisor regarding the nature of that trouble.
  Sample taking, measurement and writing of control charts/ checklists. To perform the conditioning of the machines if the measurement shows irregular trend and out-of specs occur.
  Carry out 5S and machine cleaning regularly to keep a high level of cleanroom cleanliness.
  Any other jobs as required by the production supervisor.

• Nitec /Diploma in engineering disciplines
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and cleanroom
