We are conducting (1) surveys on health, lifestyle and dietary habits, (2) physical and functional measurements (e.g. anthropometry, strength, exercise test, spirometry, ECG, optical imaging and pulse wave velocity) and (3) biomarkers for chronic diseases.

The candidate will play a key role mainly in, but not limited to, the following roles:

• Take participants’ informed consent for study, verify eligibility and systematically performing drug and supplement verification.

• Assist in collection of biological samples for research.

• Assist in conducting health and lifestyle questionnaire, dietary and/or cognitive assessment.

The scope of the study is segmented into (1) surveys on health, lifestyle and dietary habits, (2) physical and functional measurements (e.g. anthropometry, grip strength, exercise test, spirometry, ECG, optical imaging and pulse wave velocity) and (3) investigating biomarkers for chronic diseases. We have just received funding for Phase 2 of the study and are expanding our biobanking team to allow the study to reach out to more people.

The Clinical Research Officer will play a key role in supporting the study, mainly in, but not limited to, the following roles:

• Receive and process biological samples for banking purposes; with accuracy and in a timely manner without compromising sample quality.

• Provides training to Suppliers to elect Invoices for Early Payment Discounting
• Coordinate with SCF Operations to enable Suppliers to go-live on processing platforms (i.e., Trade Payables System/Cross-Reference Table for Supplier identifier linkages and bank instructions).
• Ensure supplier tracking database tool is updated with each activity and status change.
• Perform special due diligence steps as required for foreign suppliers.
• Provide metrics related to Supplier Onboarding activities, as appropriate, and ensure Suppliers in-flight are owned and tracked.

The Economics and Political Science Department at INSEAD is looking for a part-time or full-time Pre-Doctoral Researcher to work as a Research Associate (Area Researcher) on INSEAD’s Asia (Singapore) campus. The main task is to assist the Economics faculty in conducting research. The ideal candidate will have strong data management and data analyses skills, particularly software packages such as STATA, R, Matlab and Python. Skills in STATA are especially valuable.

The position is ideal for a recent university or Masters graduate looking to develop their research skills in economics, management and finance research in view of applying for a PhD program. It will provide the candidate with great preparation for PhD programme entry by training the applicant in doing research, giving him/her access to some PhD training and developing a relationship with potential letter writers. Our recent pre-doc researchers have been admitted to PhDs at Kellogg School of Management, INSEAD, Sciences Po, LSE, Toulouse School of Economics, Stockholm School of Economics, among others.

The position is for one year, with a possibility of renewal after evaluation at the end of the year.

The candidate also needs to already have authorization to work in Singapore.

REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for a full-time pre-doctoral student to work as a Research Associate on INSEAD’s Asia campus. Ideally, they would also have experience working on a research project in the social sciences. The Research Associate (RA) core mission is to assist the school’s faculty in conducting research.
