We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Training, to join the Distribution team, focusing on training and events function. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating, implementing and reviewing the Training & Competency plan, as well as conducting trainings within the organization. This role requires someone who articulates ideas and content with confidence and clarity. This role will be reporting to Head of Distribution.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Develop and conduct regular training sessions (online/offline) for the agency force (managers and/or advisors), including, but not limited to, induction, products, soft skills, sales process, company requirements, company systems, industry updates etc
• Thematic/topical training and coaching sessions for the agency force (managers and/or advisors) as and when required
• Conduct briefings/meetings/communications to keep agency force updated with introduction of, or changes to, regulations/guidelines as and when required
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on the intended requirements of training programs
• Create, update and maintain training curriculum & materials
• Create, update and maintain seminar materials
• Organize and/or run training events/seminars for agency force
• Manage administrative, finance and logistical resources and matters relating to training and development
• Any other related activity as directed by Head of Distribution
• Subsequent job rotation possible for candidates who prefer broader exposure

WHO YOU ARE

• Diploma/Degree holder
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the training and development
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably with experience in life insurance sales/sales management would be advantageous
• Qualifications like M5, M9, M9A, M8, M8A, HI and CMFAS papers would be advantageous
• Good understanding of relevant FAA requirements and guidelines would be advantageous
• Excellent presentation, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food safety, inventory management, cost control, staff scheduling, and customer service.

- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and profitability goals.

- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including budgeting, P&L management, and cost control measures.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines.

- Train and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards of food quality.

- Create and maintain staff schedules to optimize productivity and meet customer demand.

- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and timely delivery.

- Conduct regular quality assurance checks to maintain food quality and cleanliness standards.

- Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.

- Stay updated with industry trends and implement innovative ideas to enhance the dining experience.

Requirements:

- Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.

- Proficient in inventory management, cost control, and budgeting.

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.

- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management or related field.

- Proven track record of successfully managing a restaurant operation.

The Services required are set out as follows:

1. The Support Assistant shall report to the School’s HOD Science and HOD Student Development.

2. The job scope includes the following: -

Support the preparation and maintenance of Science resources

a. Prepare resources (as requested by teachers) for science lessons and activities for Primary 3 to 6 students

b. Ensure that equipments and materials are kept away after completion of activity or lesson

c. Housekeeping of science labs and equipment and ensure that they are well-maintained

d. Maintain inventory of lab equipment and materials and conduct stocktaking regularly

e. Assist HOD Science in inventory count of materials to replenish stock

f. Assist HOD Science to implement general safety measures for science labs and assist in monitoring

g. Oversee lab schedule for science lessons

h. All cleaning duties of the science labs -

Support operational needs of the IBEEP room (activity centre)

a. Loan out games to students

b. Manage students safety and discipline at the activity centre

c. Create simple resources and manipulatives (materials will be provided) as directed by school.

d. Housekeeping of activity centre (ensure that equipments and materials (e.g. Lego sets, Playstations etc.) are clean and well-maintained)

e. Maintain inventory of IBEEP equipment and materials and conduct stocktaking regularly

f. Assist in setting up the IBEEP room for school events/activities

g. Support school programmes as required

h. All cleaning duties of the ibeep room -

a. Any other duties as assigned by School Leaders, HOD Science, HOD Student Development or Admininistration/ Operations.
