Responsibilities

1) Subject Recruitment and follow up

• Be involved in subject recruitment, scheduling and data entry.
• Screen patients based on study eligibility, and communicate the study aims to potential subjects in layman terms.
• Obtain consent taking, administer study questionnaires and follow-up on study participants.
• Work closely with research team, clinicians, clinic staff and other relevant internal departments to ensure research study needs are met.
• Able to work on tight timelines, set sensible targets and achieve research deliverables.
• Conduct research study activities like patient recruitment, data collection and data management.

Requirements

• Hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Public Health/ Social Science; Preferably with some experience in research
• Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus to meet research deliverables and targets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and accountability to tasks is very desirable.
• Independent and mature. Able to work independently, as well as in a team.
• Meticulous, well-organized and able to multi-task.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment with different groups of stakeholders.
• Bilingual preferred (fluent in Mandarin/Malay/Tamil).
• Willing to travel between the Hospitals and external study sites as part of his / her work.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and the Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA).

• Responsible for developing and optimizing ion-implantation and rapid thermal anneal (RTA) processes to support IME's various program requirements.
• Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions and using test equipment or software to test faulty hardware parts, applying knowledge of the functional operation of the Ion implanter and RTA equipment.
• Collaborates closely with vendors to optimize equipment performance and reduce tool downtime.
• Setup and execute design of experiments (DOEs) at various dose, energy, tilt, and twist levels, and evaluate experimental data to meet required process specifications.
• Responsible for analyzing test data related to implant-related defect formation, and quantifying and minimizing defects.
• Champion process window characterization and evaluation to drive quality and yield improvement.
• Closely collaborate with process integration teams to implement technology roadmaps, define process capability requirements, and address structural implications and constraints related to ion-implantation and RTA processes.
• Work with fab team in establishing statistical process control for ion-implantation and RTA processes.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Prof Barbaros Oezyilmaz and Dr Toh Chee Tat on lab support, sample preparation and characterization under a project on Large area synthesis and applications of atomically thin amorphous materials.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

1. Direct growth of MAC on target substrates using a UV-based CVD approach.
2. Transfer of 2D material, layer-by-layer assembly of the all-carbon transistors and memristors
3. Electrical tests of the devices, exploration of the transfer curves of transistors with thin amorphous dielectrics
4. Characterization of MAC (e.g. optical, electrical, Raman spectroscopy, Atomic Force Microscope, Scanning Electron Microscope).
5. Device fabrication of test samples for potential applications.
6. Data analysis and physical interpretation of the results.
7. Manage lab safety, equipment maintenance and operations.
8. Meet key deliverables for industry collaboration.

Qualifications

• Qualifications / Discipline: Bachelor's or Master's degree in materials science, engineering, or a related field, with a focus on thin film deposition

Experience:
