Role:
This is a full-time, onsite, Science Teacher Assistant Role in MOE Primary School. If you are selected,
You will work closely with HOD/LH-Science and/or Admin Manager in an MOE Primary School (nearest MRT- Sengkang & Punggol) in the day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities:
The Personnel shall be competent to perform the following:
Teaching & Learning Support:
• To prepare science apparatus and equipment for science experiments
• To assist/support teachers in the conduct of science experiments and science enrichment
programmes which include Applied Learning Programme (ALP), E2K, hydroponics and eco
trails
• To assist teachers in the preparation of resources for science competitions and projects and science-related CCAs
• To monitor the operations of the Hydroponics System
• To support in the preparation of resources for science department events
• To ensure the safety of the science rooms by keeping updated on safety guidelines and
adhering to safety protocols on the use of equipment and materials
Inventory Management Support:
• To monitor the utilisation rate of the science rooms, science resources and apparatus.
• To conduct stock-takes of science resources, apparatus, equipment and consumables
• To check on usability of science apparatus and equipment and collate list of damaged items
to be repaired or replaced
• To collate items to be replenished for teaching and learning of science
• To monitor the loaning out and returning of desk copies by science teachers
• To maintain the cleanliness of the science rooms and Hydroponics System
Any other duties assigned by School Leaders / HOD Science.
Job Requirements:
The Personnel should preferably have the following qualifications and skills:
Qualifications: GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent qualifications (with at least 1 combined Science subject)
Experience: At least 3 years of experience working in a primary school environment as science lab assistant
Skills :
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Meticulous with good planning and organising abilities
• Knowledge in the preparation and setting up of apparatus and materials in both Life Science and Physical Science
• Interacts well with students
Summary:
Working Hours:
Mondays to Thursdays: 7.15 a.m. to 4.15 p.m.
Fridays: 7.15 a.m. to 3.45 p.m.
Working hours inclusive of 30 min lunch break.
Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2025 to 31 Dec 2025.
