It requires coordination and technical support for de-installations, installations, conversions/upgrades and quality assurance at customer sites worldwide
• Senior TPS Engineer will be taking the lead on tool installations both on individually assigned projects and at the entire customer site level. i.e. controlling work milestones and set the work activity pace for the day based on project timeline. They will also be responsible for providing training and mentoring to junior engineers.
• The Senior TPS Engineer is responsible for working autonomously at times and will be making decisions and judgement while engaging in project activities at the customer site.
• Support factory and business office in Japan on various projects i.e. gather new tool data, non-conformity reports, etc. and provide feedback back to Japan.
• Will be required to work with factory representatives to learn best known methods (BKM) and technical approach to new tools being prepared to be implemented at customer locations.
• Work closely with other functional areas i.e. Field Service/sustaining team to continually improve customer satisfaction
• Work closely with office in Japan and installation teams to support customer projects and timelines
• Work closely and will highly interface with the customer to ensure their deadlines and requirements are understood and met. This role will provide direction and guidance back to the customer based upon tool specifications, best known methods (BKMs), technical expertise, etc.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment while adhering to clean room protocols and safety procedures
• Ensuring attention to detail is followed as it pertains to providing quality of service and product to the customer prior to releasing the tool to the customer for sustaining/production
• Must be willing to backfill and provide support in a field service/sustaining role as needed and applicable.

Responsibilities:

· Ideally, at least 7 years of relevant work experience

· Plan, Install, Manage, and administer Mainframe, Upgrades and Maintenance

· Manage and deliver support for z/OS, DB2, IBM TWS, IBM RACF, IBM RMM, IBM SDSF, SMP/E, IODF.

· Hands-on experience in installing, upgrading, and administering IBM, CA and BMC products.

· Hands-on experience managing DFSMS suite – DSS, HSM, RMM, VTL and replication.

· Experience managing enterprise Mainframe Storage Systems – Disk and Virtual Tape

· Experience with Mainframe recovery, disaster recovery, troubleshooting, maintaining, and configuring using Mainframe LPARs

· Develop/Maintain/Improve in-house programs and utilities in COBOL, REXX.

· Experience with MF Data Center and MF network (VTAM, TCPIP and TN3270)

· Collaborate with other infrastructure teams, e.g., Storage, security teams, open systems, network, etc., to ensure applications running in DB2, and MQ can interface with applications on other platforms, e.g., WebSphere Application Servers on Linux

· Perform performance data collection, analysis, and tuning of Mainframe Systems.

· Implement project and internal initiative responsibilities as assigned or delegated.

· Participate in incident and problem management activities related to application and Mainframe Systems

· Diagnose and resolve environment system abends and abnormal operating problems using system logs and other available logs and documents.

· Perform problem diagnostics and resolution as well as change management.

· Collaborate with other team members within the same Information Technology (IT) departments, functional users, and vendors to provide guidance and supervise project implementation.

· Provide 24*7 on-call support Mainframe Infrastructure.

• At least 8 years of software development experience
• At least 5 years’ experience working with C#, and particularly modern, cross-platform .NET
• A strong understanding of advanced C# language features, such as async/await, dependency injection, etc.
