THE OPPORTUNITY

Cambridge Associates seeks to hire a Senior Associate to join our Portfolio Implementation Management Team. The Portfolio Implementation Management Team is part of Global Portfolio Services. The Team’s mission is to provide advanced operational support to clients and investment teams by developing a deep understanding of their respective operational and service needs, while acting as the central point of contact for both clients and internal teams. Additionally, our goal is to minimize the investment team’s involvement and oversight of transaction implementation, tracking, and reporting so that they can focus on making investment decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Portfolio Implementation Management Senior Associate is a crucial part of the broader Investment Team and our Client’s experience coordinating all portfolio operations and inquiries. They act as a central point of contact for investment teams and other internal stakeholders implementing portfolio decisions.

Central operational point of contact for investment teams and clients

• Serve as a key operational resource for the investment team and provide additional support as needed including investment and client relationship management activities
• Serve as a main point of contact for clients and other external stakeholders on all operational matters
• Participate in the new business onboarding process, helping to guide the client through requirements and facilitating internal review

Manage portfolio implementation

• Management of the full investment life cycle, from trade planning through to investment execution for each client portfolio

1. Maintain clients’ portfolio monitoring and projection spreadsheets by updating portfolio positioning and future investment decisions in coordination with the investment team
2. Incorporate knowledge of allocation targets and tactical tilts into rebalancing proposals, together with specific asset class sizing and trade recommendations
3. Manage investment timing and additional portfolio & client guideline considerations to create and execute trade plans
4. Directly engage with client contact(s), internal CA business areas, and third-party managers to ensure effective communication and implementation of investment decisions
5. Develop a deep understanding of and be able to work effectively with different teams across Global Portfolio Services and Investment Operations, while appreciating how they support the portfolio implementation and execution process

• Portfolio monitoring, reporting, and oversight

1. Liaise with service providers to ensure proper transaction execution and that optimal exposures to target allocations are maintained
2. Proactively monitor portfolio liquidity and cash balances, considering spending and unfunded private investment commitments
3. Evaluate & monitor compliance of the portfolio against client guidelines
4. Serve a liaison between investment teams and the Client Reporting Group with the key responsibility of providing updates/changes to trade details impacting the client’s portfolio

• Currency hedging and overlays

1. Monitor currency exposure of portfolio positions and liaise with currency specialist providers to execute FX forward contracts to hedge currency risk
2. Manage portfolio beta exposure by monitoring portfolio exposures and liaise with derivatives overlay specialists to execute equity derivatives futures contracts

Client team management and ad hoc tasks & skills

• Build an understanding for how specialized service providers operate (e.g., futures and currency overlays, traders, post distribution management, secondaries sales) and can be used for portfolio management needs
• Coordinate with investment teams to complete ad-hoc operational projects, provide supplemental portfolio analysis, and gather information to aid investment decisions
• Leverage knowledge of investment and portfolio management concepts to help external providers (legal, tax, audit) complete work related to the portfolio

About the role

Reporting to the Regional Credit Manager, this intern will be part of a larger team within the Asia Pacific Finance department, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to minimise company financial risk and assist in enforcing existing policies and procedures. The Senior Director IT is responsible for establishing and maintaining the information security program to ensure that information assets and associated technology, applications, systems, infrastructure and processes are adequately protected in the digital ecosystem in which we operate. The individual is responsible for identifying, evaluating and reporting on legal and regulatory, compliance, IT and cybersecurity risk to information assets, while supporting and advancing business objectives.

Description

Establish Governance and Build Knowledge

• Facilitate an information security governance structure through the implementation of a hierarchical governance program, including the formation of an information security steering committee or advisory board.
• Provide regular reporting on the current status of the information security program to enterprise risk teams and senior business leaders
• Work with the vendor management office to ensure that information security requirements are included in contracts by liaising with vendor management and procurement organizations.
• Create and manage a targeted information security awareness training program for all employees, contractors and approved system users, and establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of this security training program for the different audiences.
• Understand and interact with related disciplines through committees to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems and services, including privacy, risk management, compliance and business continuity management.
• Provide clear risk mitigating directives for projects with components in IT, including the mandatory application of controls.

Develop the Frameworks

• Develop and enhance an up-to-date information security management framework based on one of the following: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 2700X, ITIL, ENISA, ISA-62443, COBIT/Risk IT and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework.
• Create and manage a unified and flexible control framework to integrate and normalize the wide variety and ever-changing requirements resulting from global laws, standards and regulations.
• Develop and maintain a document framework of continuously up-to-date information security policies, standards and guidelines. Oversee the approval and publication of these information security policies and practices.
• Create a framework for roles and responsibilities with regard to information ownership, classification, accountability and protection of information assets.
• Facilitate a metrics and reporting framework to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the program, facilitate appropriate resource allocation, and increase the maturity of the information security, and review it with stakeholders at the executive and board levels.

Architecture/Engineering Support

• Work with IT staff to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration of hardware, applications and software.
• Recommend and coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies.
• Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend or plan the implementation of new or updated information security hardware or software, and analyze its impact on the existing environment; provide technical and managerial expertise for the administration of security tools.
• Work with the enterprise architecture team to ensure that there is a convergence of business, technical and security requirements; liaise with IT management to align existing technical installed base and skills with future architectural requirements.

Operational Execution

• Coordinate, measure and report on the technical aspects of security management.
• Manage outsourced vendors that provide information security functions for compliance with contracted service-level agreements.
• Manage and coordinate operational components of incident management, including detection, response and reporting.
• Maintain a knowledgebase comprising a technical reference library, security advisories and alerts, information on security trends and practices, and laws and regulations.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of threat and vulnerability management, identify risk tolerances, recommend treatment plans and communicate information about residual risk.
• Manage security projects and provide expert guidance on security matters for other IT projects.
• Assist and guide the disaster recovery planning team in the selection of recovery strategies and the development, testing and maintenance of disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure audit trails, system logs and other monitoring data sources are reviewed periodically and are in compliance with policies and audit requirements.
• Design, coordinate and oversee security testing procedures to verify the security of systems, networks and applications, and manage the remediation of identified risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline required.
• Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
• Professional security management certification is desirable, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or other similar credentials

Experiences

• A minimum of ten years of IT experience, with seven years in an information security role and at least five years in a managerial capacity is required.
• Experience working with legal, audit and compliance staff is preferred.

Purpose and Scope

Scrutinize and review major investments and advise on legal risk in industrial parks, ready built factories/warehouses (RBF/RBW) and commercial and residential property projects including M&A / divestments, corporate restructuring, leases and other contracting requirements for day-to-day business.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Advising on Joint Venture matters (including JV governance).
• Liaise with business units on governance and compliance related matters in respect of frameworks and policies initiated by the Sembcorp Group Legal and Group Ethics & Compliance function (including anti-bribery/corruption) supporting the rollout of these policies (including assistance with training) and implement and monitor compliance on such policies and frameworks.

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

• Develop the fuel consumption budget, track, collect, and analyze fuel consumption data for the fleet.
• Analyze and study the relationships between schedule, speed, and fuel consumption, and formulate and adjust the sea mile fuel consumption indicators and voyage fuel consumption indicators.
• Track, collect, and analyze the monthly sea mile fuel consumption and the complete round-trip fuel consumption of vessels.
• Develop plans for quantity inspections and oily water discharge and implement and monitor these operations.
• Understand the management of fuel and lubricants on board vessels, analyze the reasons for excessive fuel consumption during voyages, and provide feedback on quantity inspection results.
