• Work with developers and the IT team to oversee the code releases

Customer visitations to build rapport.

Do analyse the problem and respond to customers’ queries accordingly.

Candidates are expected to:-

• Participate in the general planning of maintenance and operations onboard vessel;
• Control the detailed implementation of the general plans in appropriate areas;
• Plan the activities of immediate subordinates and officers under his/her charge;
• Serve as a member of the Management Team onboard vessel;
• Implement safety policies and practices onboard vessels according to the QHSSE policies as defined;
• Perform the role of the Training Officer for any Engineer Cadets/Ratings;
• Deputise for the Chief Engineer when necessary; and
• Appraise the performance of immediate subordinates and Cadets and report to Chief Engineer.

The ideal candidate must:-

• Possess a Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer Class II); and
• Possess at least 3 years of experience as a Second Engineer Officer onboard a container vessel.

Job Description

• Manage a team of technical supervisors on site to ensure that all site activities comply with the regulations and client's requirements.
• To report to C&S QP, works closely with the regulatory authorities and contractors to provide supervision on site, resolve all site issues and ensure timelycompletion of the projects.
• To be competent in carrying out supervision of structural works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor's works on site. The appointed person must havethe strong ability to interpret the drawings and contract documents on works to be carried.
• Appointed person possesses a complete understanding of local requirements, especially to comply with BCA's criteria for build-ability and safety assurancesystem.
• To carry out regular site checks on Builder and ensure compliance on health and work safety in accordance with MOM.
• To manage the site supervisors with respect to C&S engineering works, architectural and MandE engineering works.
• To attend site, progress, variation and coordination meetings Interpret drawings and contract documents on works to be carried.

Job Requirement

• Recognized Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with the PE Board, Singapore.
• Accredited with IES/ACES with a valid Resident Engineer Practicing.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience preferably in steel and precast building construction.

THE POSITION

The NPI Engineer is key member whom will contribute towards the success of new businesses. He (she) will drive NPI projects in accordance with planned schedule, volume, cost and quality, within budget and to prioritize project activities and provide support when needed from other departments

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for planning, execution, scheduling, functionality, delivery, quality and cost of new project and concurrent managing multiple projects.
• Establish manufacturing process for the production site(s) which includes;
• - Direct manufacturing
• - Sub assembly and integration into main assembly
• - Work instructions and Job Sheets for each workstation and respective acceptance criteria
• - Co-ordinate tools and jig and fixture required at each station
• - Acceptance criteria for all external purchased parts and secondary process.
• Communicate with internal and external parties for project status update and support needed.
• Carry out Process FMEA to determine potential failure during early stage of development process and work with Design/ Engineering/ Production team to eliminate/ reduce it impacts.
• Monitor NPI progress timelines and escalate to management of major delay/ problem.
• Resolve product/ application issues;
• - 1st contact point to address any issues reported by customer
• - Resolve issues faced by customer in timely manner
• Provide training;
• - Prepare training materials and operation manuals
• - Carry out training to related operation staff
• Generate and manage engineering documents, drawings and specifications and keep up-to-date all documentation.

CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS

• Engineering Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering with 1 ~ 3 years of hand on New Product Introduction experiences in manufacturing environment. Fresh graduates are welcome too.
