Job Duties

• Leadership in Process Improvement: Lead and manage finance-related process and systems enhancement projects, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the implementation of best practices.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a senior accountant or leadership role within a corporate environment.
• Strong experience in Group Consolidation, including the elimination and consolidation workstream for regional companies, and handling Intercompany Transactions.

• To manage the Accounts Receivable matters, Non-Research Grants, debt monitoring, and monthly accruals.
• To prepare monthly schedules and management reports timely.
• To perform monthly reconciliation of Accounts Receivable balances and month-end accounts closing.
• To manage statutory audit including preparation of audit schedules.
• To administer and adhere to the Hospital’s financial processes and controls and provide guidance, oversight and training to subordinates.
• To review the works performed by subordinates and ensure that all transactions are completely and accurately coded and posted in the Accounts Receivable.
• Monitor non-research fund accounts to ensure that expenditure does not exceed income or approved budgets.
• Assists in other projects or tasks as assigned by supervisors, targeted towards achieving SGH’s priorities.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration (major in Accountancy or Finance) or equivalent
• Accounting related working experience will be an advantage
• Proficient in SAP, IT Systems and Microsoft Applications, some knowledge of Data manipulation and visualisation applications, such as Tableau, Power BI, Power-pivot or Python
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

You will support the Finance, Decision Support Services Unit in performing clinical costing activities and preparation of accurate and timely performance reports to all specialties for better management of hospital departments' performance.

Your job role will include but not be limited to the following:

• Perform and review costings of new and existing procedures to assist in pricing decisions
• Continual improvement of the costing system and identify problem areas and potential cost management improvements
• Undertaking financial evaluations of proposed workplans submitted by clinical heads for approval of capital budgets
• Analysing of revenue and expenditure trends as well as develop systematic procedures and controls to proactively manage departments' budget performance
• Submission of workload and management reports for department stakeholders
• Assisting in the provision of clinical costing information on specific projects undertaken by the Hospital

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy / ACCA (Level 3)
• Experience in a healthcare setting will be an advantage
• Meticulous, possess an analytical, inquisitive mind and a good team player
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and preferably knowledge of SAP

You will be in charge of the finance functions of Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets, and supervise a team who are supporting these functions.

You will support and work closely with departments on appropriate cost recovery strategies for shared facilities/services and centralised fixed assets, and will participate in new initiatives/projects.

You are responsible for reviewing and streamlining work processes for day-to-day operations and will be involved in the annual budgeting and forecasting exercise. You will also oversee the full set of accounts of a dormant subsidiary, prepare its financial and management reports, and appropriate returns.

You will report to Senior Manager, Finance Operations and will also assist in ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Deputy Director and/or CFO.

Job requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent

· Minimum 4 years of relevant experience

· Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills

· Knowledge in SAP will be an advantage

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

· Team player with the ability to manage cross-functional and institutional relationships and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

· Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
