You will make your mark as a Senior Finance Accountant at our Singapore office and play a key role in the financial administration and reporting of Smit Singapore within the Shared Resources centre in Singapore and work closely together with Shared Services team in Abu Dhabi. Your responsibilities as a Senior Finance Accountant are:

• Manages, supervises, and coaches the various finance team members assigned to the following functions:

a) AP

b) AR

c) Banking

• Assists the Finance Manager in investigating and resolving system or process issues as they arise, including liaising with Abu Dhabi office and HQ teams.
• Handles the full scope of GST works, including GST Group reporting and ACAP audits.

• Preparation and review of financial statements and footnotes for audit purpose

• Liase with banks, auditors, brokers and custodians to ensure smooth service delivery to clients and timely completion of deliverables

• Involved in new funds on-boarding process

• Primary contact to client on daily operational, issue discussion and any other request

• Resolve issues/queries raised clients in a timely manner and maintain a high level of client satisfaction

• Identify and highlight opportunities for internal process improvement and increase in operational efficiency

• Perform other duties as assigned and incidental to the work described above

Qualifications:

• Hold a university degree in Banking/ Finance/ Mathematics/ Accounting/Economics, qualified accountant or other relevant qualification preferred

• Have a minimum of 2-5 years progressive fund administration experience in servicing real estate clients.

• Strong computer skills with strength in Microsoft Office products. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is particularly asset.

• Strong knowledge in IFRS, US GAAP and Singapore GAAP. Knowledge in Luxembourg GAAP and Japanese GAAP would be an advantage

• Knowledge of Yardi accounting software would be an advantage
