Our growing construction firm is looking for a dedicated Construction Project Engineer. This position reviews design and bidding documents, evaluates contractor bids, and oversees construction progress and scheduling. Additionally, the Construction Project Engineer provides technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, but will work closely and report to a supervisor or manager. This position works on projects of limited complexity in a support role. Job Role and Responsibilities :

· Lead in the preparation of detailed design reports, calculations and drawings.

· Prepare submissions to statutory agencies/ authorities.

· Lead in the coordination with other disciplines in preparation of design deliveries.

· Lead in preparing and participate in tendering of projects.

· Design management, coordination and project control on major projects.

. Carry out structural design analysis and calculations;

. Participate in the tendering processes and monitors the work of contractors and subcontractors;

. Maintain overall records of incoming and outgoing documents, drawing registers, RFI and shop drawings to ISO standard compliance;

. Able to resolve/review design, specifications, calculations, and other submittals, ensure the designs and models developed are in accordance to project requirements and attend to site queries/ issues;

. Provide technical support to fabrication queries

. Review and approve contractor’s shop drawings and material submissions.

· Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

. Bachelor degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or equivalent;

. Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity.

· Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures.

· Excellent interpersonal, good written and verbal communication skills, team-player

· Have good knowledge of common engineering design software.

· Good project management skills and strong analytical skills

· Able to work under pressure with good time management skill.
