Job Descriptions
• Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another
• Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries of goods from suppliers to meet customers’ demand with little or no delay
• Manage activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to ensure established deadlines are met
Documentation and Administration
• Coordinate Documentation with Suppliers for shipment of goods to customers
• Support the purchases of goods and services to our customers globally
• Handle full scope of purchasing documentation process (generate and complete the approval of Sales Order and PO; manage, expedite and update delivery status and schedules).
• Prepare all shipping documents for import shipments and process bank document such as Letter of Credit, etc.
• Carry out administrative tasks such as data input, processing of information, completing paper work and filling documents.
• Handle customers & suppliers’ feedbacks & complaints
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Superior.
Continuous Improvements
• Continuously reviews freight costs, transportation rates or any other costs associated with logistics arrangements to keep costs down where possible
• Tracks the performance of suppliers, and support improvement initiatives with suppliers
• Continuously look for improvement opportunities, e.g. Streamlines documentation process in order to simplify and improve processing time
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Qualifications Required:
• Minimum diploma qualification, preferably in supply chain management and logistics, though experience may substitute for education
• Minimum at least 7 years of relevant working experience
• Experience in logistics and shipping is highly desirable, especially in trading industry
Experience & Skills:
• Hands-on experience in LC preparation and documentation a must
• Excellent communication, facilitation, proactive and team work skills
• Have a positive, highly adaptable, flexible and can-do attitude, keen to learn
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is required
• Proficient in Desktop technologies (e.g. MS Office Excel,Word) a must; proficient in ERP system (e.g. Oracle) is highly advantageous
• Able to work in a fast-paced and time-critical
