You will be part of the team to design, develop, implement, and maintain job matching systems and processes including innovations for e2i’s events. As a Principal Specialist, you will develop strategic workstreams, identify new opportunities, manage and maintain close partnerships with internal stakeholders to understand e2i’s business goals across multiple divisions and teams to prepare advise, think-pieces, data analysis to synthesize concepts and information for decision making. You will also work closely with external partners and vendors to ensure a smooth execution of service contracts, IT systems including procurement of the upcoming systems and services for event operations and job matching needs for the organisation. Your key job responsibilities will include the following:

Vendor Management

• Execute procurement to select the vendor(s) that is best able to meet the business needs and deliver the solution on time and within budget.
• Liaise with the appointed vendor and internal corporate teams to ensure that:
• Vendor develops, deploys, and documents the solutions that meet business needs and are delivered on time and within budget.
• Vendor puts in place suitable measures to transit smoothly from development phase to support & maintenance phase.
• Contract Service Management are adhered by vendor to comply with all contractual obligations and performance standards specified in the service-level agreements, and

Project Management

• Work with business users and management to develop and align frameworks, workflows, SOPs and guiding policies and to roll out an effective change management process

Events & Job Matching Systems Management/ Application Support

• Set up and optimise structures and processes to provide end to end users support including but not limited to:
• Establish and maintain close partnerships with internal business users, understand their needs and work with the external vendor(s) to deploy appropriate solutions to meet business needs
• Create and maintain system user guides, briefing and perform L1 troubleshooting, escalating to vendor for technical support and follow up closely on status update

This role ensures the efficient and effective handling of equipment and personnel within the yard, while maintaining high standards of safety, security, and compliance. The executive will coordinate with various departments and external vendors to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of services.

As an employee, you contribute to maintaining our organization’s quality, safety, and environmental management system as part of a continuous improvement process. In doing so, within your range of duties, you assume responsibility for adhering to all measures implemented by the company regarding quality, safety, and the environment.

Your responsibilities as Base Operations Executive

• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard the base, vessels, and occupants.
• Oversee general maintenance and repairs of yard and warehouse facilities.
• Provide support and coordination on logistical matters for projects and vessels in the region.
• Ensure timely revalidation of statutory certificates for yard equipment, buildings, and warehouses.
• Develop and execute sustainability initiatives to minimize environmental impact and oversee waste management programs.
• Serve as the primary contact for tenants, supervise and manage company drivers, take on driver duties in their absence, assist in pre-procurement processes, and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Your qualities and experience
You can move ahead as a Base Operations Executive if you have:

• Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; certification in security management or sustainability practices.
• Possess Class 3 license and preferably a forklift license.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in yard, warehouse, and logistics operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of logistics principles, inventory management, transportation planning, and security protocols.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications; proactive and detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
