Responsibilities:

• Resolves customer inquiries, quality, and operational issues in a timely manner by consulting with the Business Development HOD, Operation Manager, QA Manager, other supporting managers, Superior
• Manage, lead, and motivate a team of quality inspectors and technicians to meet departmental objectives and goals, create and promote food safety, GDP, GMP & lead by example
• Early involvement in new product and project development to establish internal specification and keep abreast of customer requirements
• Document in STL’s quality system and implement programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and corporate’s quality system requirements
• Develop and continually improve production, inspection and process control activities, corrective & preventive action, hazard analysis and risk management
• Responsible for timely closure of CAPA, non-conformance investigation report, customer complaints and deviations. Escalate to superior if required
• Analyse and trend various Key Performance Indicators per management’s vision and direction, including indicator of interest
• Develop, reviews, and approves qualifications and validation protocols, involvement in food Hazard/Medical device Risk management activities and departmental level risk and opportunity assessment, including JSA
• Ensures effective communication internally & externally
• Ensure department’s personnel competency, develop, and retain skill base knowledge within the organisation, through training needs identification
• Any other duties as and when assigned
• Take reasonable care of workplace health and safety; abide by all EHS policies and procedures; cooperate with Management and colleagues in EHS initiatives

Requirements:

• Diploma and / or Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Engineering
• Minimum 2 year's experience in QA function, preferably in plastic injection molding company
• Strong knowledge of Quality tools and Quality concept fundamentals
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, process optimization, data analysis and validation effectively manage a high-volume manufacturing setting/environment
• Ability to apply problem solving technique and provide solutions under minimal supervision.
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Training and developing both technical and non-technical employees
• Prior supervisor experience managing several direct reports

Project Samples Dispatch

• To attend day to day project samples submissions by following up and coordinating with R&D Team in ensuring the samples are submitted on time.
• To ensure project samples received from the R&D Team are forwarded to Courier Team on time for invoice, packing and shipping.
• To measure Flash Point for all new creations are measured and maintain data in FISS for SDS arrangement.

Coordination with QC Department and FA Department

• To coordinate with FA Team /QC Team on the publishing of SDS and GHS information for daily project samples dispatch.
• To attend request from QC Department for reference samples.

Support Affiliates Library Request & Stock Replenishment Request

• To attend Affiliates Library Request and Stock Replenishment Request and ensure samples are submitted on time.
• To maintain and manage the Inventory for Library Flavors. Request for compounding when stock level is low.
• To attend ad hoc request from SCM Department.

Laboratory Activities and others

• Generate GHS Label and re packing of Flavors.
• Returning of flavor back to original storage location after re packing.
• Maintain and ensure a clean and safe working environment in Sample Lab
• Clean lab equipment, glassware, and apparatus after use.
• To carry any additional job-related duties, this may be assigned from time to time, when and where necessary.
• Implement and conforms to all established environmental management system.
• Support the implemented environmental management system.
• Comply with all applicable procedures and legal and other requirements.

Job Description & Requirements

• Plan, design and implement consumer, product and market research studies to provide creative flavour direction and support strategic and client based consumer insights projects for the Southeast and South Asia region. (e.g., concept tests, consumer language probes, benchmarking studies, awareness and usage, product tests, etc)
• Leverage on cutting edge qualitative, quantitative consumer and analytical research tools to provide new insights and generate new product and market ideas
• Key contact for CIMR projects for Southeast Asia and South Asia countries.
• Assist and support CIMR Asia Leader on regional strategic research and setting direction for actionable learning plans for Southeast Asia and South Asia
• Incorporate new market and consumer trends in new insights development and category landscape and future trend analysis
• Support development of new methods and global best practices guidelines
• Develop insightful and strategic client proposals for key clients
• Supervise virtual staff/ strategic research partners on data collection and analytics throughout the course of the study
• Interpret results, provide high quality research output/ communication materials and appropriate recommendations to client groups
• Manage research projects with external research partners
• Provide technical mentorship as needed to junior staff from regional affiliates

Required skillsets:

• Degree in Statistics, Consumer/Market Research, Experimental / Behavioral Psychology, Neurosciences, Food Science, Sensory Sciences or related area
• Ability to design and execute qualitative and quantitative consumer and product research studies
• Statistical skills with high degree of familiarity with statistical packages (e.g., XLSTAT, SPSS) and the ability to interpret data
• Experience handling FMCG portfolio with agency background
• Decision Science or Social Media Listening knowledge will be an added advantage
• Some food sensory evaluation experience will be an added advantage
