The School of Materials Science & Engineering is looking for a Research Fellow who will join the 2D semiconductor group, focusing on the fabrication techniques and performance of electronic devices based on 2D semiconductors. As part of an esteemed collaborative team of scientists, postdocs, and Ph.D. students, the individual will delve into the areas of nanomaterials preparation and characterization, nanofabrication and device measurement, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing 2D semiconductors, such as CVD, mechanical exfoliation, etc.
• Characterizing 2D materials using techniques such as TEM, AFM, XPS, XRD, Raman, PL.
• Developing new techniques of device fabrication based on 2D semiconductors, in combination with traditional methods.
• Designing functional devices based on 2D semiconductors and related techniques.
• Measuring the performance and studying the mechanism of these devices.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related science discipline.
• Preferred experience includes: 2D materials preparation methods such as CVD, mechanical exfoliation, etc.; characterization of 2D materials such as AFM, Raman, etc.; and nanofabrication techniques such as EBL, ALD, RIE, etc.
• Strong foundation in semiconductor physics is crucial.
• Proficiency in English communication, both written and spoken, is mandatory - for research purposes

Position Overview:

Develop image/video processing algorithms for camera related applications.

Responsibilities:

1. Expand existing solutions to new levels of functionality, quality, and performance.
2. Assist other teams with algorithm implementation, testing and verification
3. Drive the productization of the hardware.

Requirements:

Key Qualification:

1. BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of image processing algorithm development;
3. Good understanding of digital photography, image quality assessment.
3. Proficiency in C/C++
4. Demonstrate great teamwork, outstanding communication skills, and willingness to learn.

Advantageous:

1. Farmiliar with image and color processing techniques, including HDR, AWB, color correction, noise reduction, IR removal/suppression and CFA demosaicing, etc.
2. Proficinecy in developing, implementing and deploying image processing algorithms for ISPs, or CMOS image sensors
3. Strong mathematics background and track record of independent algorithm research.

Job Description

• Prepare and review the design of the Mechanical Works, such as piping & equipment drawings, calculation and data sheets
• Involve in daily coordination with internal C&S and BIM team to resolve all the clashes, penetration etc
• Develop the work schedule and coordination of the project works to ensure project is on schedule
• Attend to FAT, supervision of the delivery, installation and testing and commissioning of mechanical works
• Handle and resolve all site technical relating matters
• Prepare, review and assist in subcontractor design and submission, ensuring all project specifications and design standards are met
• Prepare all relevant checklist for Installation and Testing & Commissioning Works
• Assist and collaborate with other project team members to comply with project requirements and meet project schedules
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, consultants, vendors and contractors
• Attend to clients’ comments and ensure clients’ approval & acceptance to all Mechanical Works related design, installation and Testing & Commissioning Works

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the construction industry. Working experience in water or wastewater industry will be an advantage
• Familiar with Auto CAD, Mechanical, Structure drawings and Microsoft Office
• Experience in design, installation, testing and commissioning of the mechanical works e.g. pipings, pumps etc
• Experience in Project Execution, Project Coordination, Supervising and Coordination with sub-contractors, consultant, and Client
• Good technical knowledge in understanding the Mechanical System
• Well versed in BIM software i.e. Bentley and Navisworks
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
• Meticulous and analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
• Highly motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Description

• Prepare and submit MSRA prior to the commencement of work
• Liaise with SO team to clear off inspection.
• Lead the site supervisor in clearing off site inspection, and to check and ensure that the work is carried out safely as per drawing, and is of good quality.
• Coordinate with subcontractor to resolve the issues and to ensure that the work is carried out as per approved MSRA & design, and to meet the schedules.
• Check and ensure all the temporary work is carried out as per PE design.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical, or a related field.
• Min 2 to 3 Years Relevant Work Experience (MEICA)
• Proficient in English writing and speaking.
• Microsoft application (words, excel, ppt etc)
