We’re looking for a passionate and talented Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you’ll have the chance to roll up your sleeves and apply data science methods and analytics to real-world business situations across a variety of industries. As the field of advanced analytics is rapidly evolving, the data scientist is responsible for staying current on leading-edge business applications, tools and approaches, proactively working with the Analytics Leadership to enhance offerings that deliver competitive advantage to BCG. Successful candidates are intellectually curious builders who are biased toward action and exceptional communicators.

· Have deep technical and Data Science expertise: The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience with applying advanced analytics to a variety of business situations, such that they can efficiently and effectively advise multiple teams on the best path to uncovering critical insights for clients.

· Are a pioneer with strong problem-solving skill: You will face various client business issues explained in their language and should organize the issues in structured way. Furthermore, you are able to break-down the issues into analytics problems and suggest options for applicable analysis methodologies based on client context.

· Are an autonomous self-starter with a passion for analytics. You will help build new Analytics service offerings that grow our portfolio of products and will captures proprietary content and support the creation of proposal/selling documents.

· Are comfortable managing engagements, client relationships, and acting as a “thought Leader.” Strong presence, strong collaborator and leadership skills and ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization are a must.

· Love building things and are comfortable working with modern development tools and writing code collaboratively (bonus points if you have a software development or DevOps experience)

· Have significant experience applying advanced analytics to a variety of business situations and a proven ability to synthesize complex data; as well as a deep understanding of modern machine learning techniques and their mathematical underpinnings, and are able to translate this into business implications for our clients

· Have strong project management skills

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

· Master’s Degree or PhD with significant relevant experience providing advanced analytics solutions. The degree should be in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or a related data centric field.

· Demonstrated deep technical and data science expertise, acute strategic and analytical skills, ability to lead and persuade, drive and energy, and desire to work in a project-based environment on strategic issues.

· Strong record of professional accomplishment and leadership.

· Fluency in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, R)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver day to day HR operational transactions within service level agreement (SLAs)
• Maintain personnel records accurately in our SAP SuccessFactors HCM for ready reference
• Work with external vendor(s) and IT support teams to resolve HR system issues that could impact end-user experience, data integrity, or overall end-to-end system functionality
• Help in user acceptance testing for our HCM solutions enhancement when required
• Support and facilitate the transition of HR operational activities into the central/regional HR Shared Services
• Assist with HR projects related to streamlining business processes
• Any adhoc tasks and initiatives as assigned

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

About the team

At Stripe, product development is an extremely collaborative effort between engineering, design, analytics, partnerships, legal, risk and go-to-market teams. In APAC, the team is responsible for ensuring all of Stripe’s products across payments, revenue and financial automation, banking as a service, etc. best fit the unique needs of each country, expanding and innovating on the platform in markets throughout the region. This role is focused on users from the Greater China region who aim to expand globally and export to the rest of the world. An understanding of and desire to serve Chinese high growth merchants is essential. This is a particularly entrepreneurial role that needs to innovate alongside these users and deliver these innovations by influencing across all of Stripe.

We are looking for a Product Manager who’s passionate about solving complex problems to advance the payments landscape, especially in support of our users’ ambitious and innovative business models. This role will help build new payment methods & flows and also improve our payments experience (marketing, local data requirements, taxes, payout timings etc). You’ll get to work with central engineering teams both in the region in APAC as well as across our other global offices to build delightful features that span various parts of the system, as well as working with our business, sales and operations teams to understand and solve our users’ pain points.

• Set the long-term product strategy for our products and platforms in your key markets

• Be an evangelist for your product movement across the company

Who you are

Minimum requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product management
• Experience in the payments industry especially or other fintech domains; Experience with Risk is a plus
• Experience working with Chinese companies or building for customers in China; Chinese language skills are a big plus
• Built products by collaborating across engineering, analytics, marketing, design and other key stakeholders
• Approached product management from a user’s vantage point and is motivated by the chance to improve the lives of customers
• Strategic vision of where the APAC region is heading, and where technology and financial services fit into that puzzle
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a precise talent for articulating customer challenges and ability to influence broadly across teams and with senior company leadership
• Experience managing technical software products from kick-off to ship

Pay and benefits
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is S$208,700 - S$313,100. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location.
