As Supply Chain Operation Executive, you will be responsible for co-development and operational delivery of the asset's materials management strategy through the team’s tactical execution of all warehouse operations, logistics and Material Management across the site, driving key materials considerations for contracting and business tactics in the field, customer-focused warehouse operations, optimised inventory management, and investment recovery.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensure HSSE and operational process compliance by performing assurance checks on the Warehouse operations, facilities, emergency response, and storage equipment are properly maintained towards creating and ensuring a safe working environment, incl. controlling appropriate verifications/certifications of equipment (racking, forklifts, lifting accessories, firefighting equipment etc.) are performed in full compliance with group and legal standards.
Understand role of the Warehouse in the end-to-end supply chain and actively contribute to top quartile supply chain performance by applying commercial mindset and proactive collaboration with key business partners.
- Support implementation and compliance with standards and regulations for SC operations including customs, freight forwarding, logistical services, management of Warehouse services contract and maximising continuous improvement opportunities in terms of contract performances.
- Manage safe, efficient, and effective service delivery and operations to meet scheduled and adhoc demand for MSC services which include Land Transport of Materials, Management of Warehouses and Yards; and the management of scrap and surplus materials for the site.
- Support the development, review, and assurance compliance to Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures and HSSE Cases, emergency response procedures and capabilities. Apply HSSE&SP CF standards and guidelines to operations through development and implementation of specific HSSE&SP cases (managing risk matrix and mitigation plan), ensuring all operations are compliant and managed to global standards and policies, and inline with specific international, national, and local legislations.
- Collaborate with Off-shore Inventory Analyst (IA) to enable their integration with business counterparts to deliver inventory reliability optimization and accuracy in line with business and financial objectives. Monitor inventory KPI’s, data quality, define root causes and coordinate follow up actions. Liaise with warehouse operations, IA, and Local Finance the process to valuate stock and in and out going materiel at the right amount with adequate underpinning documentation.
- Engage with business counterparts to develop Major Maintenance, Turnaround and Project support plans. Firm up Stage It/Kitting agreements for each Project, Major Maintenance event and Turnaround event. Strategically dedicate warehouse space and determine appropriate facility and additional resources/considerations for each event. Close out in real time to maintain currency in direct charge materials, ensure optimal opportunity for investment recovery for unused materials, and to keep maximum availability of space for future needs.
Accountabilities:
- Coordinates SC Operational services to realise the short-term plan which include: Marine, Land Transport of Materials and People; Operation of Cross-dock facility, Supply Bases, Warehouses, Yards; and management and disposal of Waste and hazardous materials.
- Ensure that all materials, equipment and tools are documented (incl. SDS), stored, preserved, handled, staged, stowed, moved, loaded and unloaded safely, efficiently and in compliance to global standards and procedures. Manage the preparation, processing, verification, and administration of transport documentation relevant to transport of materials and equipment from/to Warehouse/asset.
- Ensure optimised capacity planning with operations, related to materials storage and handling, usage of space and resources (equipment and people) whilst achieving agreed performance and service delivery levels to facilitate contractor business performance reviews.
- Optimise Warehouse and Yard layouts (traffic and master storage location plan) considering Transport requirements, space utilisation, material preservation and security (incl. Bulk and Waste). Monitor actual performance metrics against the agreed targets and service levels, reacting to underperformance and driving continuous outcomes improvements on a sustainable basis.
- Drive execution of 3rd party service contracts, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk/change and identifying opportunities to maximize value for Shell, seeking support from relevant subject matter experts as appropriate.
- Ensure management of waste is executed in line with global standards, procedures and International, National and local regulatory requirements.
- Ensure local Supply Base /Warehouse Operations competence, capability and community, robustly assuring the right experienced, knowledgeable and trained workforce.
- Coordinate the operational services to realise the short-term plan which include Marine and Land Transport of Materials; Operation of Warehouses and Yards; and management and disposal of Waste and hazardous materials. Coordinates the adjustments to the short team schedules, prioritisation, develops alternative solutions and coordination for logistical support for emergencies.
- Manage Surplus materials with the proposal of surplus stock sale strategies together with the waste coordinator, tracking the re-use/sale/disposal of surplus stock and ensure accurate documentation of sale/disposal agreements and the collection of proceeds. Support the Focal point to seek approvals for disposal of scrap/surplus materials, the review & any return to stock of materials with agreed criteria met.
