Job Overview
The Cluster Marketing Assistant/Manager is responsible for driving 2 hotels’ holistic Marketing effectiveness with 2 key areas of focus:
- Maximise and generate brand awareness and revenue demand though the implementation of marketing initiatives that drive measurable performance focusing primarily on Hotel and Restaurants & Bars Marketing
- Responsible for the planning, directing, controlling, coordinating and participating in all Public Relations, Brand and Partnership activations. You will also help to create a desired work culture around our Winning Ways of the InterContinental Hotels Group and embrace the IHG Commitment.
- Candidates who are digital natives with demonstrated experience in performance marketing will be considered for the Manager role.
Your Day-to-Day Job Responsibilities
MARKETING
- Manage and execute the annual marketing calendar that delivers consistent messages across all touchpoints, with the objectives of revenue generation in mind.
- Interfaces with regional marketing team for cross-border and/or national promotions pull-through.
- Develops and implements property-wide campaigns and packages to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer profile focusing on maximizing return of investments.
- Manage and monitor the annual marketing budget closely to ensure optimal utilization of funds.
- Ensure local consumer marketing reflects the voice of the Brand and adheres to brand standards.
STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
- Serve as the lead to identify new opportunities and pursue meaningful conversations, expanding the network of partners.
- Stewart and champion meaningful partnerships with key stakeholders to derive maximum value and returns through building win-win collaborations.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver and execute partnerships that drives commercial and media value to achieve set KPIs.
MEDIA & PR
- Manage and execute a PR programme focusing on earning media placements through media drops, hosting, tastings, VIP/media events, press releases and media alerts.
- Develop and build a strong network that is ready to activate across both consumer and trade media.
- Key liaison for all media channels acting as the face of the Hotels and R&Bs across all media familiarization trips and visits.
- Maintains clipping files pertaining to the hotel(s) based on daily perusal of the media and provides same to other departments, other hotels, corporate public relations, as appropriate.
- Update and housekeep all media clippings and tracks progress and results of such earned media placements.
DIGITAL MARKETING
- Serve as the subject matter expert responsible for the analysis of paid search, display, remarketing and metasearch campaigns, using a data-driven approach to facilitate informed decisions.
- Develop and execute strategies for account structure, bid optimisation, creative testing, and keyword and ad copy optimisation.
- Drive brand awareness online, as well as generate direct leads and revenue for the booking engines.
- Set clear and measurable KPIs to achieve maximum returns on investment for all paid media.
- Lead the in-house campaign management, optimisation and reporting of metasearch campaigns.
- Implement and analyse the measurement of all digital activity to ensure effectiveness, proper usage and awareness of analytics data.
- Report and review performance marketing campaigns with internal stakeholders.
What do we need from You?
Preferred 5-6 years in corporate marketing environment in position with responsibility for multiple project management, internal and external communications and creative development. Familiar with brand marketing, public relations activations with strong partnership experience.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing is preferred. Graduate degree in a related field is desirable.
- Demonstrated success in conceptualization and executing effective marketing and PR campaigns and activations with measurable ROI.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and securing strategic partnerships with measurable ROI.
- Extensive experience in handling and managing multiple third-party relationships and agencies.
- Ability to analyze, interpret and extract trends from data, and convert them into actionable plans.
- Strong linguist with effective English and Chinese literacy.
- Problem solver at heart with a can-do attitude, who is able to navigate through ambiguity.
Candidates with experience in digital performance marketing across all paid channels, including but not limited to paid search, display, remarketing and metasearch campaigns will be considered for the Manager role.
- Familiar with digital trends and digital marketing channels/tools. Broad and up-to-date understanding of digital performance marketing channels preferred.
- Must possess strong understanding of digital best practices, web analytics, A/B Testing, and metrics-driven marketing.
- Experience with website analytics tools and possess strong data analysis skills
