Key Responsibilities

Overall responsible for the accounting and reporting of the REIT Manager and REIT & its subsidiaries. Direct report to Senior Finance Manage and manage junior finance colleagues.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Review monthly accounting entries for REIT manager, REIT and SPV entities;

• Coordinate with Property Manager's Finance team and review monthly accounting data for asset companies to ensure proper accounting treatment and readiness for consolidation;

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with the appropriate accounting/financial reporting basis;

• Responsible for audit for REIT Manager, REIT and SPV entities as well as group audit at REIT level;

• Prepare and or review individual and consolidated annual budget and forecast;

• Prepare performance analysis and calculations of key performance return metrics

• Prepare periodic and ad-hoc analytical reports, financial models as needed

• Liaise with local accounting service providers, financiers etc. where need to assist in the transaction processes related to acquisition and/or disposal of real estate/investment holding companies

Cash Management/Treasury

• Manage processes for opening, operation and closure of bank accounts

• Monitor cash balance regularly and manage cash needs of various entities structure

• Manage AP process and effect payments/disbursements

• Manage distribution process

Company Secretarial

• Liaise with company secretary/compliance officer/trustee/legal counsel on filing and financing matters e.g. announcement of results, distributions, refinancing, capital market transactions etc.

Structuring and Tax Compliance

• Assist with tax planning, structuring and compliance

Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Corporate Finance, Accounting and, ACCA or CA is preferred

· Preferably with at least 5 years of consolidation knowledge

· Experience in real estate industry will be an added advantage

We are looking for someone:

• Involve in full suite of experience studies including assumptions recommendation, maintenance, and financial impact analysis as in the areas of reserve (IFRS17 and local basis), new business value and new business CSM.
• Involve in IFRS17 policyholder experience gain/loss reporting and to provide deeper analysis of underlying contributors.
• Involve in the regular experience monitoring and highlight/ investigate variance in experience and its root cause.
• Involve in experience monitoring Power BI tools development working with regional and local analytic teams.
• Assist in the inforce management projects to deep dive on experience drivers and propose recommendations to improve customer experience and inforce value to the company. This includes close collaborations with various stakeholders on different inforce management initiatives.
• Assist in any other projects as assigned.

Nice to Have:

• Good progress of actuarial exams.
• At least 4-5 years of working experience with good understanding of data, actuarial experience monitoring and insurance business know-how.
• In-dept knowledge of insurance products and their earnings attributes.
• Creative, thinking out of the box, meticulous to details, effective communications and planning are key elements for success.
• Good knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Access, Words, Power Point) and Power BI (or any equivalent visualization software).
• Knowledge of IFRS17 and local regulatory are added advantage.
• Team player oriented as well as can follow up tasks independently.
• This is an individual contributor role.

Role Purpose

The IT Regional Manager (Asia) is a key proactive point of contact for lawyers and business services staff with regard to current and future technology opportunities and is the primary point of contact for the office Directors of Administration within their region, providing a “single point of contact” to address IT questions and concerns.

The IT Customer Service team is responsible for providing first/second line and at times 3rd line IT support for approved services and systems. This role is responsible for managing the team to ensure the needs of the business are met.

This team is responsible for trying to resolve incidents at the first point of contact, and escalate when we are unable to do so. They also manage and escalate requests and contribute to the successful deployment/upgrade of IT services and systems, and understand and support the overall IT strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage/support the team so every member is empathetic with users and knows how to communicate effectively.
• Manage the team so they can resolve the majority of incidents and requests at the first point of contact.
• Continual improvement of Customer Service to align their practices and services with changing business needs.
• Represent Asia so that their time zones, working practices and languages are taken into account when IT change requests are submitted, to ensure users are not adversely effected by scheduled changes.
• Incident management so that the negative impact of incidents is minimised by restoring operations as quickly as possible.
• Problem management, to reduce the likelihood and impacts of incidents by identifying actual and potential causes of them.
• Service request management, including documenting and socialising how requests are initiated, approved and fulfilled.
• Contribute to and update Customer Services' knowledge base.
• Develop a broad internal network through regular and effective communication with users.
• Ensure Customer Services update tickets in accordance with local, regional and global standards and processes.
• IT asset management of laptops, desktops, smartphones, peripherals and other assets as needed.
• Supplier management.
• Manage support for audio visual/video conference/webinar events and remote conference tools.
• Manage service activities related to new starters and leavers.
• Provide support to other IT teams by testing new software packages and upgrades to existing applications.
• Working with global training team to provision of learning delivery to include new staff induction, workplace skills, productivity/efficiency skills, mobility support and document production automation learning and support.
• Act as a technology resource to the Firm for industry trends, technology implementations (hardware and software) and change management issues.
• Effectively and proactively identify and communicate operations and business risks to IT and firm management.
• Travel required to regional offices.
• Encourage team members to provide continuous feedback to each other and share information openly.
• Actively participate and contribute to meetings outside of core working hours.
• Take a lead in establishing standards and guidelines.
• Undertake all relevant staff management activities appraisal/reviews, annual leave approvals, performance management and grievance guidance.
• Budget ownership of selected services.
• Point of contact and support for Desktop Team services during Asia hours which includes support the Windows desktop image build and deployment processes/ Software and Security Deployments /support the firm’s Citrix environment in Asia in relations to Citrix issues/support the firm’s Document Management environment in Asia
• Act as smart hands for 3rd line support requirements

Experience

• 5+ years' experience as an IT supervisor or manager, in a professional services environment.
• Knowledge of the ITIL environment and processes essential.
• Knowledge of Win10 and all related problems with OS, error logs and troubleshooting
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office in addition to other relevant legal applications (time recording systems, metadata management systems, PDF converters, media players, document encryption and compression tools).
• Good understanding of Active Directory Users & Computers and its associated membership groups, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP & VPN as it relates to desktop support activities.
• Strong desktop PC, laptop, printer and iPhone hardware support and maintenance knowledge including imaging, parts replacement and configuring PCs to Firm standards for rollout to users.
• Good knowledge of latest smartphone devices (hardware and OS) and the way they are set up and configured.
• Law firm experience preferred.
• Knowledge of document management systems and e-filing processes is a bonus.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills in English, and Cantonese, Mandarin is a bonus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and have good attention to detail.
• Excellent understanding of the Firm’s goals and objectives.
