Job Purpose:

Responsibilities

The Assistant Executive will provide assistance to the Executive Director (ED) and support to the Administration Team in the day-to-day management of co11ab’s operations as directed by the ED. The support will be in multiple areas such as digital marketing, clerical duties, records maintenance, routine upkeep of non-scientific facilities, meetings and events management, and basic administrative support to co11ab’s members (start-up companies). • Conduct research in digital signal processing, in particular the detection and localization of active and passive targets via wireless RF signals in the harsh environment

• Conduct both theoretical development of methods and experiment design to validate the developed methods

• Co-supervise junior researchers/interns/students

• Carry out detailed literature review and assessment of the state-of-the-art technologies

• Plan and execute detailed R&D activities in order to meet project objectives and deadlines

• Generate novel scientific or technological concepts for application of breakthrough nature and contributing to research proposals

• Handle administrative matters which may include safety, asset management and other aspects related to being a member of Temasek Labs@NTU

Job Requirements:

• PhD degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or other related fields

• Strong background and knowledge in modern RF communications / digital signal processing particularly in  Radar or Array processing

• Strong algorithm development and programming skills on MATLAB or Phyton

• Knowledge on machine learning or deep learning

• Familiarity with Ettus USRP devices, GNU Radio/Labview programming are plus factors

• Good publication record

• Excellent communication skills in English

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in development of lithium-ion battery pack design

• Prepare design scheme according to system requirements on electric, thermal, structural performance

• Participate in development of advanced battery thermal management technology

• Skillfully use computational software to conduct multiphysical numerical analysis and model built-up for battery system

• Prepare technical requirements and design verification standards according to system requirements

• Literature review on equipment standards and specifications, prepare technical requirement documents

• Conduct virtual design verification for the thermal performance of developed thermal management system

• Responsible to prepare 2D and 3D mechanical drawings as well as animation

• Responsible to prepare design progress document and final report

Job Requirements:

• Candidate that possesses a master’s degree in thermodynamics, electric and electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar is preferable

• Research or working background in lithium-ion battery product development and production is preferable

• Familiar with CAD software like SolidWorks, ProE; and CAE simulation software like COMSOL, ANSYS

• Understand development progress of battery system product

• Self-motivated and takes initiative

• Independent and can work well with a team

• Organized and detail oriented

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
