KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Work with Global Head of Conflicts and Global Conflicts Manager to assist with conflict checking new clients and matters across a range of different jurisdictions
· Review and provide thorough and timely analysis of all new business to identify ethical and business conflicts of interest
· Serve as a conflict’s escalation point, assist and guide the Global Conflicts Team in conflicts resolution process
· Assist Global Conflicts Manager in evaluating and implementing improvements to Global Conflicts Team operations
· Assist Global Conflicts Manager in coordinating and supervising Global Conflicts Team workload
· Supporting Global Conflicts Manager as required on all team administration, including recruitment efforts
· Work with counterparts across the Firm to assist and help resolve cross regional conflicts issues
· Utilize available internal and external databases and other such resources to supplement analysis and assist with decision making
· Communicate with Partners, and other lawyers and professionals to follow up on and address all potential conflicts of interest issues
· Draft waiver/consent language, engagement letters or other such documentation as required
· Proactively communicate with department leadership on complex conflicts questions and other compliance issues
· Support on general conflict issues that may arise in any jurisdiction
· Assist with information barriers and document security management as needed
· Assist with training the Global Conflicts Team members, legal administrative assistants, lawyers and business services staff in understanding the firm's new matter intake, conflicts, and other compliance procedures
· Undertake various related projects as required, including enhancements to the global new matter intake system
· Maintain thorough, accurate and current records of all conflicts resolutions to ensure integrity of the database and assist in identification and clearing of future conflicts of interest and general matter management
· Other duties as may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the role
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Technical Skills
· Business international level of English – both written and oral
· Knowledge of Intapp conflict checking, ethical wall and business intake software is preferred
· Understanding and experience of business continuity requirements and implementations
· Strong legal research skills. Stay current with recent research and thinking on ethics and conflicts best practices and rules across jurisdictions in which the firm has offices. Maintain a sophisticated, relevant base of knowledge in these areas.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS
· Minimum 5 years of conflicts experience, ideally gained in an international law firm, although other professional services or financial services firms will be considered
· Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in law
· Prior experience working with law firms or corporate legal departments
