• Respond to all cargo handling / stowage related enquiries as arise as part of day to day activity within the office.

• Crafting preliminary prestows in the office and / or assisting Masters with their stow plans - amongst many other related types of activity.

• Prepare lifting calculations and method statements, including lifting equipment details, for project cargo or other contract tenders as may be required.

Job Overview
The Deputy Centre Head will play a key role in managing the centre's daily operations. This includes leading staff, ensuring top-quality service delivery, and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for both learners and team members. Strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a genuine commitment to working with individuals with special needs are essential for success in this role.

Centre Management

• Oversee the daily operations of the centre to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety requirements.
• Oversee the well-being and safety of all learners and staff.
• Address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

Administration

• Handle enquiries, centre visits, and registrations.
• Monitor and manage the centre’s budget to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards of service.

Staff Management

• Guide, mentor, and oversee staff to ensure staff remain motivated and effectively complete their assigned tasks.
• Manage staff schedules and ensure sufficient coverage at all times.

Programme Planning & Implementation

• Work with the team to design, implement, and evaluate programs tailored to learners' needs, while ensuring that daily activities are effectively carried out.
• Work with external partners and stakeholders to enhance programmes offerings.
• Continuously assess and improve the quality of services provided.

Community Engagement:

• Foster positive relationships with the local community, stakeholders, and partners.
• Promote the centre’s services and activities through outreach and networking efforts.
• Represent the centre at community events and meetings.

Skills Requirements:

• Dedicated to the education and support of youth/adults with autism
• Demonstrates compassion and patience
• Strong team player
• Computer literacy skills in MS Office (Words, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualification / Experience

• Minimum Diploma from a recognised educational institution.
• Experience in Special Education, Nursing, Counselling, Care Services and working with youth/adults with autism through Community Service is an advantage
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial / mentoring role within a similar setting.
