The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Associate (Computational and Laboratory Biology) in the Department of Biochemistry, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Specifically, utilising data science approaches involving machine learning and artificial intelligence, A/Prof Gruber’s team focuses on the development and validation of biological ageing clocks for clinical translation and application, as well as in model organisms. Purpose of the post

The successful candidate should have a strong background in both mathematical/machine learning methods and biological laboratory techniques. He or she will also be responsible for data analysis and for developing computational models, algorithms, and tools to analyse and interpret complex biological datasets derived from multi-omics data. The ideal candidate will combine a strong understanding of statistical and machine learning methods, as well as expertise in programming languages such as R and/or Python with training in biology, biochemistry or a related discipline. Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Research Associate will work with other team members to develop and validate biological ageing clock algorithms, and will be accountable to the Principle Investigator (PI). The Research Associate will be able to:

Job Description

• Handling of client enquiries, tour bookings, customizations, and amendments.
• Prepare sales quotations, tour proposals and itineraries for customers.
• Assisting with client outreach, cold calling, EDMs etc.
• Generate leads, reach out to potential clients, pitch and close sales.
• Coordinating with Ops team in relation to sales matters.
• Assist in operational procedures i.e customization of tours, tour logistics and on the ground management.
• Data entry to ensure all client records, databases are up to date.
• Assist in post-sales work which includes following up with client experience, getting reviews
• Liaising with clients, vendors, and suppliers on behalf of managers.
• Communicate and liaise with finance team with regards to invoices and payments.
• Work with internal and marketing teams to achieve company strategic objectives and goals.

List of responsibilities of Assistant Head, Operations & Development Department, include, but are not limited to:

1. Management Function

· Supervise the daily operations in the Hostel according to the SOPs.

· Ensure Youth Work Associates (YWAs) and Night Residential Care Worker (NRCW) understanding and alignment of practice with the overall philosophy

· Oversee staff relationship with residents and stakeholders.

· Manage staff morale, motivation and discipline in the department

· Monitor and develop staff competency and training in order to fulfill their evolving roles and responsibilities in the department

· Assist HOD to manage budget and manpower allocation

· Deliver Trauma-informed practices in daily staff and residents interactions/management.

· Coach and mentor new employee onboarding effectively with accurate and timely documentation records.

2. Role Function

· Cover the role of the shift staff when necessary

· Effective and fair roster planning to cater to the needs of the daily operations.

· Ensure adherence to the SOPs in the daily operations of the hostel

· Coach YWAs and NRCWs to perform their roles effectively

· Coordinate with other Departments when necessary

· Manage and oversee all documentations required for the department

· Assist HOD in preparation and submission of reports

· Assist HOD in managing crafting/reviewing/amending SOPs as per required

· Oversee all investigation and review investigation process/approach/techniques (Discipline Committee Chair)

· Oversee the all process in hostel

3. Development Function

· Assist HOH/HOD in roles and functions which are assigned.

· Assist HOD in planning the development of the YWA and NRCWs in the department.

· Assist HOD in reviewing current and implementing new process to meet requirements of the Ministry.

· Identify and attend courses/training for personal and professional growth and development.

4. Taskforce Involvement

Job Description

• Responsible to configure, setup, design process sequences, troubleshoot, and fine-tune processes on projects using FASA applications or help to develop them.

Responsibilities

· Plan, supervise and deliver the program in accordance with the policies, guidelines, frameworks and philosophy of MindChamps
