The “Cellular Basis of Neural Diseases” laboratory in the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, A*STAR invites applications for a position as Senior Scientist I (Postdoctoral Research Fellow) in Cellular and Metabolic Therapies for Neurological Diseases.

The goal of the program is to derive clinically relevant neural cell types from induced pluripotent stem cells for development of novel therapies. This will be achieved through enhanced biological understanding of the disease progression and identification of new disease targets.

Interested candidates should have a PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience, Stem Cells and Regenerative Biology or a relevant field. The ideal candidate should possess the following characteristics:

· Passionate and committed to advance the frontiers of Stem Cell/Neuroscience research

· Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

· A team player who can perform well with colleagues as well as independently

· Proven track record of scientific research evidenced by strong publication record

· Experience with neural organoid cultures, as well as single cell RNA-seq analyses would be highly desirable

· Meticulous and organized

We are looking for a QA Tester to assess software/TV Apps quality through manual testing.

Responsibilities -

• Translate requirements into test scenarios and test cases
• Liaise with key stakeholders and oversea QA tester to confirm on the test coverage
• Executing test scripts and reviewing results
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Point of contact of the QA related matters and inquiries for the project
• Lead the discussions during QA activities such as test coverage walkthrough, UAT execution
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Getting sign-off for all test deliverables to close off the testing cycle
• Assist PM to formulate QA strategy for the project as necessary

Requirements:

• Diploma in Computer Science or Testing or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in QA
• Experience in working with stakeholders, conducting TV App/App reviews, and consensus-building
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily financial operations
• Prepare financial statements and management reports for the company
• Partner with business units in matters covering but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, revenue and cost projection
• Prepare and present financial performance, full year forecasts and budget variances to stakeholders including recommendations, highlight key variance, area of improvements where necessary
• Provide financial insight to business unit for timely decision making
• Support portfolio monitoring and reporting
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual investment reports
• Monitor and analyse portfolios’ financial metrics to identify potential impact to the investments and forecasts
• Stay updated of material developments within the portfolio companies, especially for valuation purposes
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents on audit and corporate tax matters.
• Prepare yearly budgets, including reviews of cash flow and working capital requirements
• Liaise with corporate secretary

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Accountancy/ Finance
• At least 5 to 7 years of working experience preferably in operational finance, financial reporting, corporate finance
• Demonstrated experience in finance projection, revenue and cost analysis
• Strong acumen in financial management, financial processes, and business analytics
• Candidates with strong interest in Corporate Finance will be considered for the role
• Problem-solver, resourceful and organised to support and enable efficient and effective decision-making amongst stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Chartered Accountant will be a plus
