Requirements:

Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKC Medicine), a joint medical school between Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), is seeking to recruit a Research Associate to join Dr. Xiuyi Fan's laboratory. Our lab focuses on the development of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) techniques and their applications to gain new insights in the field of medicine.

We have various projects related to XAI that the Research Associate will explore, including temporal/time-series and counterfactual explanations, as well as uncertainty quantification and comparisons of XAI techniques. The successful candidate should have experience working at the intersection of XAI and Medicine. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with large-scale Electronic Health Records and the development of new XAI techniques.

The Research Associate will lead projects under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Xiuyi Fan. Responsibilities will include data preprocessing, data analysis, the development of new XAI techniques, application of existing XAI techniques, and manuscript writing. The Research Associate will also provide support to research student projects at all levels (Bachelors, Masters, and PhD).
