Starting salary: $24,948, this can increase to $49,890

OTE: $45,000 - $71,500

Hours: full-time, including early mornings and late evenings in your first year of service.

Advertised earnings are reflective of the advertised U.P. location’s OTEs for Junior Trainer roles in the local currency, dependent on the Junior level offered if successful.

U.P. does not provide Personal Trainer qualifications and so requires all applicants to have already attained their Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training, or equivalent qualification.

Overview

Applied Materials New College Graduates (NCG) Program is a 16-month inter-department training program with the aim to nurture future leader for Applied’s Global Supply Chain organization. The NCG program consists of structured training modules providing learning opportunities through classroom trainings and interactions with experienced colleagues. The participants will rotate through positions in Purchasing, Sourcing, and Commodity Management, all while developing the technical and business skills required to be successful in the Supply Chain organization.

General Profile

Performs routine assignments in the entry level to a professional job progression. Typically has knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts. Develops competence by performing structured work assignments. Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems. Receives instruction, guidance and direction from other team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Engages new supplier introduction and/or disengagement requirements to/from the Applied Materials supply base.

• Supports the maintenance of agreements with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Applied Materials and the supply base.

• Develops strategies to procure components at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.

• Assists in creation of commodity road maps and implements commodity strategies.

• Supports new product development program and PLC process to ensure alignment with Applied’s commodity strategies.

• Drives material cost reduction projects. Activities include but not limited to supplier negotiations, collaboration with engineering on design optimization and should costing.

• Assists in supplier price and delivery negotiations; under direct supervision may negotiate contracts as necessary.

• Utilizes the preferred supplier selection and assessment process when selecting suppliers; Completes supplier risk assessment on critical and unique parts; Monitors supplier performance (delivery, quality, cost).

• Drives resolution to systematic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery or lead-time.

• Drives initiatives on process improvement, optimization and digitalization of work processes within GSC community.

• Under direct supervision, forecasts and communicates engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers. Coordinates demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure.

• Review and resolve material shortages to ensure continuity of production activities.

• Provides input to outsourcing decisions by performing make versus buy analysis.

• Operational support and troubleshoot on MES (Manufacturing Execution System) services with software knowledge about the system. Work closely on user acceptance testing, perform solution delivery and support software programs and applications for manufacturing system, tracking system and planning and scheduling system.

• Participate discussion to ensure daily operations issues are address promptly and high-quality resolution are provided to users.
• Responsible to participate and support operations 24x7 through on-call rotation, execution of urgent processes as required.
• Knowledge and experiences in programming language C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework and JavaScript will be advantageous.
• Creative and have passion in implementing innovative IT solutions to solve meaningful business problems.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills. Bring in your enthusiasm as you will work with a dynamic team to achieve a common goal through effective collaboration and dedication.
• Experiences in good software project management skill and exposure in agile development methodology will be advantageous
• Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional areas, including but not limited to finance, human resources, manufacturing and marketing. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Trains users in conversion and implementation of system.
