Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented group accountant, specializes in manufacturing industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting process, including but not limited to financial statement preparation, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and budgeting. Job Description:

• Handle full set of accounts include preparing monthly audit schedules and ensure timely and accurate month-end closing.

• Prepare IR8A / IR21 tax return, GPCL/PCL claim.

• Liaise with tax agents for Corporate Tax filing. Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual income statement, balance sheet and cashflows statement.
• Liaise with external parties like corporate secretary, tax agent, auditors, investors, government authorities where required.
• Process/Controls & system implementation and recommend process improvements.
• Perform financial consolidation of Singapore and China entities.
• Assist in Grant application, claim and auditing.
• Prepare AGM presentation data based on FS report & company planning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or ACCA/CPA.

The Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE) is a unique interdisciplinary Research Centre of Excellence (RCE), funded by National Research Foundation, Ministry of Education, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS). Hosted by NTU in partnership with NUS, SCELSE is linking new insights from the life sciences with expertise from emerging technologies in engineering and natural sciences to understand, harness and control microbial biofilm communities.

We are looking for a Research Fellow who will be responsible for performing laboratory research to explore various aspects of bacterial lifestyles including biofilm development and cell wall deficiency. The selected candidate will work independently or in a small team to plan and perform experiments to address specific scientific questions related to biofilm development and cell wall deficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with general laboratory management tasks to support the research group
• Assist with planning, performing and documenting laboratory experiments to study bacterial lifestyles using methods such as in vitro biofilm models, advanced microscopy, genomics and molecular microbiology.
• Work closely with the Principal Investigator to analyse and interpret data, as well as troubleshoot experiments
• Assist with supervision of staff and students
• Participate in group meetings and prepare project updates.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in biology, biomedicine, microbiology or a related field
• Experience in microbiology techniques would be preferred
• Experience in advanced microscopy techniques would be preferred
• Experience in molecular biology
• Experience in biofilm models
• Experience in bioinformatics is desirable but not essential
• Ability to design, plan, and execute experiments under supervision or independently
• Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records of experiments and results
• Be flexible and open to last-minute changes and variations
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills are essential for research works
