Responsible for accurate and timely recording of Club’s Point of Sales transactions / other miscellaneous receipts, and related matters

Job Duties & Responsibilities

· Ensure daily sales and cash up reports tally with the system

· Check Club’s to cash deposits, PayNow, NETS and credit card settlement against bank statement

· Issue and monitor vouchers

· Post miscellaneous receipts in the system

· Perform surprise cash counts at Club’s outlets

· Record receipts from customers and members

· Collate entertainment claims receipts from users and update the details in excel on a monthly basis

· Engage with internal stakeholders (business units) on POS matters

· Initiate monthly GIRO collection from members of Club

· Ensure that Financial Instructions Manual, accounting standards, financial policies and all relevant statutory requirements and procedures for financial matters are adhered to

· Identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement within financial processes and participate in relevant IT system development or enhancements

Job Requirements

· Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent, preferably with 1-2 years of general accounting experience

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Finance/Mass Comms/Administrative skills
• Proven project coordination and budget management skills.
• Preferred 2+ years of experience in similar role
• Good writing skills and savy in social media platforms
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in small team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Advanced Excel and Powerpoint and SAP/ARIBA preferred.

The person must be English speaking, well manored with good courteoucy, able to handle job and people with cool mind. Main job responsibility to see daily office operation, including handle incoming phone calls, filing of all documentations, handle accounting inputs to QB software, calculate staff time sheet and shipping arrangements and occassional online purchase and quotation. A Project Officer position is currently available in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (SPMS).

The candidate will be part of the staff working on a project within the Division of Mathematical Sciences of the SPMS. The project aims to develop error-correcting techniques for constrained codes with emphasis on applications like DNA data storage and visible light communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study and provide a survey on known algebraic and combinatorial techniques in correcting errors for constrained codes
• Design and develop new error-correcting schemes for constrained codes
• Identify new research directions in constrained codes for correcting errors

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor of Sciences in Computer Science or Mathematics
• Research experience in algebraic or combinatorial coding theory
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts in data storage
• Publication experience is strongly preferred
