Job Scope:

• Prepare full sets of accounts, audit and tax schedules
• Prepare monthly management reports and presentation materials
• Prepare quarterly consolidation reporting package for submission to Group Finance team
• Prepare periodic tax return filings for both direct and indirect taxes
• Perform Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for ad hoc projects and special management reports
• Provide regional finance support when necessary
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents
• Assist superior in quarterly consolidation, year-end audit and preparation of annual report
• Recommend finance process optimisation and internal control improvements
• Assist in finance digital transformation including process automation and data analytics

The successful candidate will join the Head Office Accounting Team which provides accounting support to the various companies in the Group. He/She will be responsible for the financial and management reporting functions of designated companies. Key tasks include preparation, consolidation and analysis of financial and management reports, forecasts and annual budgets, maintenance of proper accounting records, payment control, ensuring GST compliance as well as any ad-hoc work assigned.

Good working knowledge in computerised accounting systems is not required but will be an added advantage. Responsibilities
Finance Operations

• Contribute to group’s financial and management reporting by preparing financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other essential financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Conduct account reconciliation, ensuring alignment between sub-ledgers and the general ledger, perform balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accuracy and completeness.

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, as well as engage with other external parties as necessary.
• Assistance with tax planning matters for a complex discretionary trust and company structure – including Singapore entities.
• Liaise with external accountants in Australia, USA and Singapore for the preparation of accounts and tax returns.
• Prepare and submit all necessary tax filings with local government bodies, ensuring adherence to all local tax laws and regulations.

Strategic Investment Reporting and Analysis

• Periodic investment reporting and analysis for the group.
• Assistance with investment and performance analysis, business review and other strategic initiatives as required.
• Provision of valued analysis, insights and recommendations to both listed and unlisted portfolio businesses.
• Other investment & treasury administrative and maintenance functions as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy / ACCA
• Chartered/Certified Accountant qualifications CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent
• Tax experience preferred
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel & Word
• Microsoft Dynamics GP or ERP systems experience desirable.

Accountant

Responsibilities:
