The Consultant will assist in the quantification of damages, valuation of businesses, assessment of commercial insurance claims and other assignments. Job Responsibilities:

• The team handles the full range of disputes requiring the quantification of economic losses including contractual and shareholder disputes, fatal accident and personal injury matters, white collar crime and civil fraud and investor-state disputes. Insurance claims include property damage, product recall, liability, theft/fidelity, and business interruption/lost profits. Businesses will consist of a wide range of industries and sizes.
• Use your knowledge of Excel to interpret and analyse the financial and operating information disclosed to our team in the course of assignments.
• Undertake research using public sources and paid information sources to which the firm subscribes, in order to identify data which will help the team to develop robust and defensible economic models.
• Draft requests for documentation to be used in our analysis (in the form of discovery requests and document request lists).

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

• Performs detailed problem analysis and documents issues and resolutions related to software or network issues and works with Level 3 software and hardware engineers when an issue needs to be escalated
• Communicates with, evaluates usage patterns of, and recommends “best practices” to attorneys and staff to ensure optimal use of the firm’s technology based on knowledge of Firm technology
• Supports Practice Support technologies, including applications, temporary war rooms, and trial sites in remote locations
• Performs desk-side coaching, as needed, in conjunction with the Technology Education team, especially during large-scale roll-outs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with data analysts and business end-users to implement and support data platforms using best-of-breed technology and methodology.
• Implement and design robust and scalable solutions to meet business needs and take operational considerations into account. Demonstrate technical expertise in the assigned areas.
• Manage operations and maintain SLAs. Implement automation in data management. Collaborate with data engineering, architecture, and governance.
• Perform data and metadata quality, modeling, lineage, cleansing, onboarding, registration, discoverability, access controls, migration, optimization, and cataloging. Execute, maintain and manage the whole data lifecycle.
• Conduct requirement workshops with stakeholders, analyze and translate business and other requirements holistically into data strategies, plans, and actions.
• Cover all aspects of data distribution and data service.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and data service modules with robustness in mind to support the growing demands from business users.
