As a Data Analytics Manager (Finance and Equities), you will play a pivotal role within our data team, collaborating closely with product, strategy, finance and engineering teams. Your primary goal will be to maintain our finance and equities business data pipelines, derive actionable insights from extensive datasets, influencing strategic decisions and driving equities growth. You will lead key projects, lead junior data scientists, and ensure data-driven approaches are integrated into business processes.

What you will be doing:

• Manage product, strategy, finance, engineering stakeholders to drive large-scale, complex data analysis projects from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Understand how our equities investment products work and is able to present to senior management business related analysis to improve the adoption and volume of our equities products
• Work with our finance team to build required pipelines that ensure monthly financial reporting needs are met
• Work with our Financial Analysis and Planning team on revenue / cost items in order to improve our unit economics of products
• Work with strategy team and the product managers to identify the key metrics we should track for our equities business and build data pipelines, frameworks and dashboards to track and improve these metrics

• Take charge of the monthly equities insight meeting to inform senior management of equities business performance and insights to improve the business
• Simulate impact of business decisions on promotions, pricing strategy and new products together with the strategy team to inform go or no go decisions
• Drive actions to improve our equities business with product, marketing and CRM teams based on insights from the analysis
• Design and evaluate experiments in our equities business using statistical methods
• Monitor data processes, providing the support that teams rely on to make decisions.
• Effectively communicate your work with senior management, team leads and cross-functional stakeholders on a regular basis
• Lead a team of 1-3 junior data scientists in solving our finance / equities related problems and guide their career development

What you need to be successful for this role:

• BS in a Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Physics or a related field within 7+ years of experience.
• Strong SQL skills. You will need to write custom queries to pull data to support your assumption and hypothesis.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Preference for Looker Data Studio).
• Experience with scripting and data analysis using Python.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with good attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in an international team environment.

Job Responsibilities

This is a newly created role as the Company’s Group plans to set up a Shared Services Department.

The role holder, reporting to the Financial Controller, is responsible for leading and managing the Finance Shared Services Accounts Payable (AP) team to deliver quality services and improve the overall efficiency of AP operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the establishment of a Finance Accounts Payable Shared Services Department in Singapore.

• Proactively manage and monitor the Group’s Accounts Payable (AP) function to drive accuracy and timeliness of all transactions.

• Key point of contact for the Group’s Procure-to-Payment process.

• Perform monthly Suppliers Statement of Accounts reconciliation and accruals.

• Support and collaborate with internal stakeholders in all areas of AP processes, with the objective of improving operational efficiency.

• Maintain and establish AP policies and procedures for easy guidance and implementation.

• Continuously structure, standardise and optimise financial processes and system to ensure optimum efficiency.

• Lead and motivate a new team to provide high quality services and stipulated turnaround time.

Others

• Assist in the implementation of new ERP system with primary focus on the Accounts Payable modules.

• Ad-hoc duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess the Following:

Qualification and Experience

• Qualified ACCA / CA with at least 8 years’ experience in Finance and 3 years’ experience in a leadership role

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong knowledge of AP processes with experience in setting up AP shared services.

• Knowledge of Esker and Vendor Invoice Management.

• Strong collaboration mindset as this role requires working with many stakeholders in areas of improvement, compliance with SOPs, suppliers and rectifying payment issues.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks and bring projects to completion.

• Must be able to lead, motivate and develop the team members and be ready to cover any open positions.

Overall Responsibilities

The Licensing Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in working together with the Business Unit Head (BUH) to achieve the goals and objectives set by the Company across Singapore and Malaysia. Through effective planning and budgeting, the Licensing Sales Manager will strive to achieve his/her quarterly/annual revenue target. In addition, he/she will devise sales strategies and techniques to reach out to potential clients and generate leads for the Company, thereafter, turning the leads into business deals. He/She will also be responsible for servicing the client and establishing excellent relationship with the clients.

Main Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Direct sales responsibility (by brand, country, or category, depending on PLS’s strategy) inclusive of quarterly targets, due diligence obligations related to thorough knowledge of product and prospective clients.
• Perform all sales planning & reporting functions inclusive of pipeline building, gap analyses, forecasting and re-forecasting as required by PLS-SEA and its clients, market/brand/category reports evaluating sales environment and prospects, projections related to existing or new businesses, evaluation of new opportunities and/or brand extensions.
• Develop expertise in relevant areas required to maximize performance combined with building brands and a sustainable business.

Client Management and Service

• Management of clients inclusive of ensuring full compliance on Licensors’ policies, procedures, guidelines and supporting licensees in fulfilling obligations and maximizing performance.
• In consultation with BUH, design appropriate business management calendar inclusive of sales strategy, marketing activities, brand-building objectives and manage team activities related to client services, licensee sell in, retail programs, sell-through support etc.
• Report to BUH on all key initiatives, reporting requirements, compliance monitoring, and other core functions as related to client management.

Monitor Licensee Obligations

• Conduct regular business review with key licensees to ensure product development, product penetration to all distribution channels, advertising and promotion plans are rolled out as per contractual obligations.
• Retail Visibility for Brands/Licensed Products
• Work closely with PLS marketing team to cultivate and direct key retail accounts on behalf of Licensor and its partners, working closely with all stakeholders to build appropriate retail relationships and secure prominent product placement at retail.
• Work with marketing team and partners to devise a meaningful marketing calendar to promote the licensed products as well use appropriate and approved marketing collateral to support products at retail.

Account Receivables

• Work with Finance team to ensure that licensees remit the License Fee and submit monthly/quarterly royalty report on time.

Job Requirements

• University degree in relevant field or extensive professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience with strong business development background in sales and related brand management responsibilities, preferably with fashion/lifestyle background
• Track record of sales achievement
• Strong organizational, presentation and team leadership skills
• Fluency in all Microsoft applications & database solutions
• Personable and diplomatic in handling clients from all levels
