A Therapy Assistant provides support to therapists before, during and after therapy sessions. Responsibilities include assisting in department administration and operations and engaging in continuing education to further skills and knowledge in speech, occupational and physiotherapy. The individual could work at times in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team with speech, occupational and physiotherapists, teachers, physicians, audiologists, psychologists and social workers. Job Description:

• Adhere to infection control procedures.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the Assistant/Manager’s main responsibilities are:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance

• Responsible for accurate financial and statutory reporting to ensure timely monthly closing.
• Manage Treasury and cash management matters.
• Oversee patient billing and collection process.
• Assist in the annual budgeting exercises.
• Lead and oversee internal, external and project-based audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory legislations.
• Assist in Charity Projects, including the preparation of Income Statement and Audit Certification.
• Ensure timely quarterly submission of GST and other statutory reporting as required.
• Collaborating with corporate secretary, auditors and tax agents on all statutory reporting.
• Review and improve accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.

Grant/Funding Management and Disbursement

• Ensure timely submission of claims to MOH/AIC and monitor claim disbursement.
• Conduct quarterly and annual subvention reconciliation through ILTC Portal.
• Submission of statistics to MOH/AIC/Medifund/MPAC.
• Oversee the CST Grant application and utilisation.
• Assist in grant audit and preparation for Year End CST Audit Certification.

Others

• Provide secretarial support for the council meetings and other meetings as needed.
• Provides guidance and leadership to team members.
• Support any ad-hoc projects as may be assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/ACCA or Equivalent
• Minimum 5-6 years of related working experience, preferably in Healthcare (Audit experience will be an advantage)
• An independent individual with good leadership skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Positive and self-motivated
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders Meticulous and high attention to detail.
• Ability to understand and analyse financial data.
• Organised and able to work within tight deadlines with minimum supervision

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the surgical teams and nursing in pre-operation preparation and post-operation equipment usage and patient care

Job Requirements:

• Preferably with prior work experience in Operating Theatre or healthcare
• Ensure equipment and environment in Operating Room is clean and safe for use
• Able to understand and conversate in English
• Willing to work shifts and on weekends and public holidays
