2. Community Engagement

Requirements:

• Degree in any discipline.
• Experience as a volunteer with any charity, religious organizations, grassroots organizations or ground up groups.
• Experience in managing volunteers in personal capacity as a volunteer or staff volunteer for corporates, charities or non-profit organizations.
• Experience in conceptualizing, planning and running a voluntary programme in the community or organization will be a strong consideration.
• Ability to function as an effective individual contributor and team player.

Program Overview

This program is geared towards developing individuals as future leaders in various aspects of GAR’s global downstream business. As a Management Executive attached to the CEO Office (Downstream), this 18 – 24 months program allows you to undergo job rotations which provide opportunities for you to understand and learn about the downstream integrated value chain. You will connect, collaborate and learn from colleagues at all levels, enabling your journey and career at GAR.

Program Details

• You can join the Commercial track.
• Each track will comprise of four/five 6-monthly rotations.

In each rotation, candidates will (but not limited to):

• Learn and develop relevant role specific knowledge & skills such as sales & marketing, operations, trading, control and risk
• Assist in the process to develop / review and execute policies and processes
• Participate in strategic planning, execute game plans and projects
• Undergo study trips to understand our overseas operations, where applicable

Requirements:

• At least a 2nd class (upper) honours degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Accounting or Finance.
• Only 2 – 3 years of maximum working experience is required for the role.

1. Corporate Business Support

• Organising, maintaining, and updating the profiles of the Company and all its subsidiaries, and business-related content on the Company website and to propose periodic improvements to ensure the content continues to support the objectives of the Company.
• Assisting the Business Units in preparing business grant and collaboration proposals.

2. Business Research

• Assists to acquire research material of identified market segments, including existing and targeted customer segments, to support functions of the Company.
• Performs targeted research on specific trends or topics as commissioned by the Management, and able to derive recommendations to the Company based on conducted analysis.

3. Productivity Validation

• Conduct validations of productivity projects implemented by the Business Units and prepare the validation report to Management.

4. Balanced Scorecard (BSC)

• Initiate the quarterly BSC exercise and prepare the Group BSC reports.
• Proactively gather BSC targets, data sets and relevant information from the Business Units.

5. Fulfils other tasks as assigned by the Senior Corporate Planning & ERM Manager.
