The Role

This position will be responsible for maintaining the accounts of assigned portfolio of companies.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the full spectrum of the Accounts Receivables (AR) and General Ledger (GL) functions for portfolio of properties.
• Ensure timely billing to clients and compliance with AR procedures by generating and raising invoices, debit and credit notes.
• Responsible for monthly accounts closing, preparation of quarterly audit schedules, monthly bank reconciliation and monthly management reporting.
• Liaise with the overseas finance team for the submission and analysis of reports and for the group’s year-end audit matters.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting exercises, annual audit process, and tax filing matters as well as any ad-hoc assignments as and when required.
• Other duties include implementing SAP in phases for newly acquired or incorporated investment holding companies.

Job Requirements

• Diploma in Accountancy and its equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting.
• Well-versed in SFRS, tax regulations and MS Excel.
• Experience with SAP system and/or real estate knowledge will have an added advantage.
• Good verbal and written communication skills as you will be liaising with various parties such as inter-departments, external consultants, property manager and operators.
• Meticulous, ability to work independently as well as being a good team player.

- Quarterly GST submission

- Liaise with external auditors, banker, company secretary and tax agent

• Support end-to-end tender and pricing processes for ocean freight forwarding services in the APAC region.
• Coordinate with sales and forwarding department to gather priority information and entry into tender submissions.
• Analyze tender documents to understand requirements and scope of work.
• Prepare tender documents, ensure the requirements are met and that crucial tender fields are completed with accuracy.
• Ensure prompt tender submission as per client’s deadlines.
• Support in planning and preparing tender proposals.
• Conduct market research to identify potential tender opportunities, well-informed of industry trends, competitor’s tender strategies and client preferences.
• Review previous tender submissions and provide continuous feedback to improve quality and effectiveness of tender proposals.
• Monitor pricing performance and develop pricing strategies to remain competitive in the industry.
• Build and maintain carrier relationships to facilitate negotiations and good access to competitive rates.
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations of client’s shipping requirements.
• Support AFH sea procurement, sales, and operations teams to identify and create business opportunities.
• Participate in the review, improvements and standardization of work processes and procedures to improve efficiency of the Headquarters meeting ISO standard.

Requirements

• At least 3 ~ 5 years work experience in tender operations and pricing functions in freight forwarding industry.
• Good working experience in pricing and tendering operations and strategies in ocean freight forwarding.
• Possess good connections with carriers especially in Singapore,
• Good ability to strategize and solve problems,
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Possess high awareness and interests about improvements, growth and adopting new business models & technologies.
