Key Responsibilities

• Analyse accounts and perform reconciliation.
• Produce financial reports to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Coordinate and maintain billings and reports, verify all billings are complete and reconciled to the general ledger.
• Submit periodic financial documents required by the Management.
• Handle month-end closing process, and make correction journal entries for account discrepancies, prepare closing journal entries, post accrual entries, and prepare financial statements.
• Ensure timely, accurate month-end closing and financial reporting to Management.
• Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Handle full accounting operations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, reconciliation) for the assigned countries region.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities.
• Support forecasting and budgeting exercise as per corporate guidelines.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax, and government authorities where required.
• Ensure adherence to all financial and tax reporting obligations, including GST, WHT, CIT, etc., audits and procedures, and forms both statutory and internal.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement to enhance financial processes.
• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This person will report directly to the Head of Finance and work with the Partners as we are a small team and we work in a very open and collaborative way. This person will play a key support role in the development of the Finance Department, together with the Head of Finance. Having to work with Europe, to liaise with accountants for the company in Europe where necessary and in general liaising with clients from across the world, for all invoicing and payment matters, is another interesting aspect of this role.

Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting (80%) :

• Assist in monthly closing with partial or full set of accounts experience
• Prepare sales invoices and record receipts and follow up on overdue accounts
• Record monthly expenditure and update of daily cashflow
• Check and verify monthly staff claim
• Intercompany, creditors and bank reconciliation
• Prepare suppliers’ payment cycle
• Assist in preparing GST on quarterly basis
• Assist in preparing of balance sheet schedules
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax, and government authorities where required.
• Liaise with overseas accounting firm on finance admin duties, eg, providing expenditure receipts and bank documents etc.

Admin and HR (20%):

· Prepare Director’s claim on monthly basis;

· Involved in HR duties such as but not limited to, work pass application, and maintenance of Employee files.

· Record and keep track of employees’ leave benefits;

· Administrative support (travel, venues, materials, external participants…);

· Attend to office administrative duties (ordering of pantry items, liaise with cleaner/landlord admin staff…);

· Any other ad-hoc admin duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Management:

• Process payroll for the firm’s employees and assist in payroll processing for client companies.
• Calculate and verify salaries, bonuses, deductions, and overtime.
• Handle statutory contributions (e.g., CPF/EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and income tax) and ensure timely submissions.
• Prepare and distribute payslips for employees and clients.
• Address payroll queries from both employees and clients.

2. Accounts Management:

• Maintain financial records for the firm and assist in bookkeeping for client companies.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment follow-ups.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

3. Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST/VAT submissions, tax declarations, and annual filings for the firm and client companies.
• Work closely with the secretarial team to ensure timely filing of statutory returns and forms.
• Support external auditors during audits by preparing payroll and accounting data.

4. Client Support:

• Collaborate with the company secretarial team to provide payroll and accounting support to clients.
• Advise clients on payroll best practices, statutory obligations, and accounting compliance.
• Assist in managing financial aspects of corporate restructuring, mergers, or closures for clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Certification in payroll administration or accounting software is an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounts and payroll roles, preferably in a company secretarial or professional services firm.
• Familiarity with accounting and payroll systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).

Skills:
